Abstract

A rotor drive for autogyros comprises a rotating main rotor system encompassing rotor blades (1, 2) and identical masses (3), the distance of which from an axis of rotation (5) can be modified in a synchronously controlled manner. A device (7, 13, 14) which is mounted on the main rotor head (26) in addition to the rotor blades (1, 2) and is used for moving the masses (3) by means of a motor allows the masses (3) to be moved from an outer position into an inner position during the start such that the rotor is accelerated.
