Abstract

본 발명은 염료감응 태양전지 서브모듈에 관한 것으로, 상부 및 하부 투명기판 사이에 염료감응 태양전지 셀들이 서로 연결되어 형성되는 염료감응 태양전지 서브모듈에 있어서, 상기 염료감응 태양전지 서브모듈은 i)상기 셀들의 일부는 서로 이웃하는 셀이 상하위치 관계에서 양극과 음극이 서로 교번하여 위치하고, 이웃하는 셀 사이의 전기적 연결이 제1셀의 양극 전극과 이에 이웃하는 셀의 음극 전극 사이에 이루어져 직렬 연결되는 제1영역과, ii)상기 셀들의 나머지가 서로 이웃하는 셀이 상하위치 관계에서 양극과 음극이 서로 교번하여 위치하고, 이웃하는 셀 사이의 전기적 연결이 제1셀의 양극 전극과 이에 이웃하는 셀의 음극 전극 사이에 이루어져 직렬 연결되는 제2영역과, iii)상기 제1역과 제2영역을 구분하는 절연영역을 포함하고, 상기 제1영역의 상기 절연영역에 접한 셀과 제2영역의 상기 절연영역에 접한 셀은 상기 절연영역을 기준으로 좌우대칭인 것을 특징으로 하는 염료감응 태양전지 서브모듈에 관한 것이다. 이를 통하여 서브모듈 공정과 모듈공정의 일부를 동시에 가능하도록 하여 모듈제작 공정을 단축할 수 있고, 따라서 종래의 서브모듈 집적 공정의 품질 변동에 따른 성능 저하를 최소화할 수 있으며, 서브모듈을 모듈로 집적하는데 필요한 접속전극 재료 및 접속전극 공정 장비를 최소화할 수 있어서 투자비를 줄일 수 있고, 서브모듈 단위의 봉지부를 줄일 수 있으므로, 이의 파손에 따른 결함의 발생을 줄일 수 있는 효과가 있다
