OBTETO DE LA INVENCIÓNOBTAIN OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a luminaire, especially designed for public lighting, although it can obviously be implanted in other types of lighting systems.
The object of the invention is to provide a highly effective luminaire, with reduced electrical consumption, and with a long service life.
It is also the object of the invention to provide a luminaire whereby light pollution caused by the reflection of the upward light produced in conventional luminaires is avoided.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓNBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In the practical field of application of the invention, very different types of luminaires are known, the most used to date being those that incorporate a sodium bulb, which, while satisfactorily fulfilling the function for which they have been provided, have a high electricity consumption, and a useful life that would be desirable to increase, as well as the pollution that sodium produces as waste once the life of the bulb ends and the high light pollution that sodium produces. Trying to obviate this problem are known luminaries that are constituted from a plurality of LEDs, which, due to their reduced consumption, have a total electrical consumption of the set significantly less than that of sodium bulbs together with the ease of LED recycling.
The problem with this type of luminaires is that in order to achieve an acceptable level of illumination it is necessary to involve a large number of diodes in them, which complicates and increases the structure of the device.
It is also worth mentioning the problem of light pollution of this type of luminaires, which occurs due to the reflection of the upward light on the device housing.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓNDESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The luminaire that the invention proposes solves in a fully satisfactory manner the above-mentioned problem, so that based on the use of LEDs, thanks to the special structuring thereof, it is achieved that for the same degree of illumination the participation of LEDs, and consequently the electrical consumption of the device.
To do this, and more specifically, the luminaire of the invention starts from the conventional structure of a LED-based luminaire, in which a lower open housing participates, in which a printed circuit board is established on which conveniently establish a plurality of diodes led, fed through the corresponding circuit associated with a transformer, with the particularity that on each diode a formal and dimensionally adequate lens is established to distribute the light only downwards, avoiding light pollution.
Due to the effect of the aforementioned lenses, the lighting area is considerably increased with respect to conventional LED-based luminaires, so that the distance between luminaires can be greater, since said lighting area is greater, with the consequent economic savings that this means, or, for the same degree of illumination the number of diodes that will be necessary to participate in the luminaire will be reduced, with the consequent economic savings derived from it.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LOS DIBUTQSDESCRIPTION OF THE DIBUTQS
To complement the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred example of practical implementation thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description. In an illustrative and non-limiting manner, the following has been represented:
Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a luminaire made in accordance with the object of the present invention.
Figure 2.- Shows a cross-sectional detail at the height of one of the diodes that participate in the luminaire of Figure 1. Figure 3.- Shows, finally, a view similar to that of the figure, but corresponding to a detail in longitudinal section.
REALIZACIÓN PREFERENTE DE LA INVENCIÓNPREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
In view of the aforementioned figures, it can be seen how the luminaire that the invention proposes, as is conventional in any LED-based luminaire, of a housing (1), formally and dimensionally suitable for housing a printed circuit (2), on which a plurality of LED diodes (3) electrically powered through the corresponding connection terminals (4), printed circuit board (2) that will be assisted by the corresponding transformer for the correct transformer are conveniently distributed Power supply thereof, the said housing (1) presenting the classic window (5) on its lower face through which the light emitted by the device is projected, window (5) assisted by a transparent sheet (6) of glass or similar material, said casing counting with means (7) for fixing to the post or element in question.
Well, according to the invention, on each diode (3) there is a lens (8), with a geometry that allows the light to be distributed only downwards, projecting the irradiated light with maximum efficiency on the area to be illuminated , so that the light is prevented from being reflected upwards as in conventional luminaires, avoiding light pollution, reducing electricity consumption and increasing the lighting area.
So, and with this system, a lamppost for a height of 8 meters, whose sodium equivalent is 15Ow, its consumption is reduced to approximately 80w, by more than 10Ow of a conventional LED-based luminaire, with a long service life, allowing to install some lampposts with respect to others at a distance greater, due to the increase in the aforementioned lighting area, of the order of 40-50 meters, compared to the maximum 30 meters between street lamps with conventional luminaires.
This special structuring also allows increasing the distance from the floor of the luminaire, to a height of more than 16 meters.
