  • the present inventors have found that the effectiveness of Cyclopia spp or an extract thereof according to the present invention is generally dose dependant and follows a dose response curve. If generally mild skin/hair disorders or damages are to be prevented and the product will be used frequently, very small amounts of Cyclopia ssp or an extract thereof will be sufficient to achieve the desired effect. If a severe skin disorder is to be treated, larger amounts of Cyclopia spp or an extract thereof will be more appropriate, although also small amounts will produce an effect.

Abstract

L'invention concerne l'utilisation de honeybush ou d'extraits de honeybush pour améliorer la santé de la peau ou des cheveux, consistant à prévenir, atténuer ou traiter les troubles ou dégâts qui affectent la peau ou les cheveux, par exemple sous l'effet des réactions inflammatoires, des facteurs environnementaux, de la sénescence ou du cancer. En particulier, l'invention concerne l'utilisation de honeybush ou d'extraits de honeybush pour améliorer la protection contre le rayonnement ultraviolet ou l'éclat de la peau ou bien pour réduire les rides ou l'inflammation de la peau.
