  • the present invention relates to a packaging device of the reusable, "returnable” type (which means that it can be associated with one or more items or objects to be transported and, after the transport operations have been completed, can be sent back or “returned” to the origin and reused several times) and of the type suitable for clamping (i.e. that it is employed in handling operations carried out by means of suitable implements and/or vehicles loading one or more packages by gripping, and related pinching on two opposite and usually “vertical” sides, of the packages themselves) .

  • packages of known type have a limited operating capability, mainly due to the limited structural performance they can offer; in particular, the beams of known type are not very resistant to lateral pressure and are unable to meet the operating requirements in terms of "offset” or "partial" grip that are dictated by the regulations in force and/or the normal working activity.
  • presently-used packages suitable for clamping substantially consist of disposable pieces and parts, i.e. for single use; when the packed goods reach their place of destination, the packages are dismantled and discarded, which brings about waste of materials, environmental impact and further increase of the overall costs for housing and storage management.

  • one of the aims of the present invention is to conceive a packaging device minimising the "dead” and/or unusable volumes, and therefore enabling optimal filling of the loading compartments of the transport vehicles and also optimal saturation, in the vertical extension too, of the housing and storage spaces (such as warehouses and the like, for example) .
