Abstract

A connector includes a first end with a first cable insertion portion receiving a first cable and a second end with a second cable insertion portion receiving a second cable, at least one guideway adapted to bring a first electrical conductor and second electrical conductor of the first cable in close proximity with a first electrical conductor and second electrical conductor of the second cable, a first and second contact means arranged in the at least one guideway; the first and second contact means providing electrical contact between the first conductors and between the second conductors respectively. The contact means and the at least one guideway; allow for visual determination of the position of the first and second conductors in the at least one guideway, accessing the first and second conductors from outside the connector and positioning the first and second conductors in relation to the first and second contact means respectively.
