Abstract
The present invention relates to a variable mold apparatus for forming stretch sheets, which comprises: a multiplicity of forming punches arranged underneath a sheet; at least one forming jig fixed to the end of the sheet; and at least one hydraulic press for applying tension to the forming jig. Particularly, in a variable mold apparatus for forming stretch sheets according to the present invention, each forming punch comprises a punch head, a hollow outer member having screw threads on the internal surface thereof and an inner member having external screw threads to be insertedly fastened to the outer member, with one of the outer and inner members being connected to the punch head and the other being connected to a rotation axis, and the apparatus further comprises at least one punch-adjustment motor capable of providing a torque in gear with the rotation axis of the respective forming punch. Advantages of the thus configured apparatus of the present invention are that a variety of die profiles can be produced by combining multiple forming punches in one single apparatus without necessarily producing a number of profile dies for various purposes and thus a stretch forming process can be executed in a simple and efficient manner.
