Abstract

A hearing system comprising a left and a right hearing device (1a, 1b) that are positionable in or at a left and right ear, respectively, of a hearing device user, each hearing device (1a, 1b) comprising at least one microphone (2a, 2b), a receiver (4a, 4b), a signal processing unit (3a, 3b), which is operatively connected to the at least one microphone (2a, 2b) as well as to the receiver (4a, 4b), at least one control element (5a, 5b; 7; 8) for adjusting at least one particular parameter of a transfer function defining input/output behavior of the hearing device (1a, 1b), the at least one control element (5a, 5b; 7; 8) being operatively connected to the signal processing unit (3a, 3b) of the respective hearing device (1a, 1b). A link (6) is provided between the hearing devices (1a, 1b) for exchanging information regarding the adjustment of the at least one parameter. The at least one particular parameter is adjustable in one direction by actuating the corresponding control element (5a, 5b) of one of the hearing devices (1a, 1b), and the at least one particular parameter is adjustable in an opposite direction by actuating the corresponding control element (5a, 5b) of the other hearing device (1a, 1b), wherein the adjustments of the at least one particular parameter is exchanged via the link (6) in order to synchronize the hearing devices (1a, 1b).
