Abstract

Methods and apparatus for motivating employees or the like to participate in a wellness program include online enrollment, repeated health evaluations and repeated live coaching using networked two-way audiovisual terminals, optionally equipped with instruments for measuring blood pressure, body composition, weight and the like. Physical measurements are taken and participation in multiple provided activities of the wellness program is tracked. Physical measurements and participation levels are reported to the participant. Participation levels of populations are reported to managers. Individual and population participation scores are computed reflecting the level and nature of participation, optionally adjusted with reference to health risks including ones inferred from collected physical measurements. A progressive jackpot sweepstakes incentive event is coordinated with reporting. Incentive eligibility is determined with reference to individual and population participation scores and predetermined goals. Colored graphic representations of participation levels compared with predetermined goals enhance behavioral effects.
