Abstract

The subject of the invention is a driving device comprised of a pendulum engine and a device for conversion a swinging motion into a rotational motion. The driving device comprised of a pendulum engine and a device for conversion of a swinging motion into a rotational motion is characterised in that the pendulum engine has an engine block (4) with a head (10), a shaft (5) with at least one blade (6), combustion chambers (7) (8). The shape of the combustion chambers (7) and (8) is determined by the shape of the blade (6), and the depth of the chamber determines the range of the angular movement (2α) which is made by the blade (G) during work, and in that the device for conversion of a swinging motion into a rotational motion connected to the engine shaft (5) has: a crankshaft (1), a skew crank (2), a cross fixation (3), and a cross (9). The rotational motion being performed by the arm of the skew crank (2) connected to the cross (9) by the symmetry axis (11) draws a cone of which the vertex angle (2α) in its projection onto the plane perpendicular to the rotary axis of the engine shaft (1) is equal to the angle value (2α) of the swinging motion. The blade (6) fixed to the pendulum engine shaft (5) on its both sides plays the role which is adequate to a piston role in a piston combustion engine. According to the invention the driving device has a positive influence on reducing a size of combustion engines even up to several dozen percent simultaneously keeping the same engine cubic capacity. Its advantage is to have a simple seal of the piston system, the blades and the work spaces. Thanks to that the said driving device has the same advantages as engines with classical piston-crank systems and engines using a rotary motion. At its high efficiency which is comparable to the efficiency of engines with classical piston-crank systems its construction is characterised in a significantly lower consumption of raw materials and additionally it is believed that a simplicity of such construction causes fewer emergency situations.
