본 발명은 광고 방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 단문 메세지 서비스 이용시 광고 정보를 제공하는 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로, 개인 통신 서비스는 개인이 이동통신 단말기를 이용하여 장소와 시간에 관계없이 음성 및 저속 데이터 통신을 수행할 수 있는 저렴하고 보편적인 이동 서비스이다.
현재의 유/무선 통신망은 주로 음성통신위주로 사용되고 있으나, 근래에는 데이터 서비스 가입자의 꾸준한 증가로 인해 데이터 서비스와 같은 비음성 분야의 서비스로 그 사용이 확대되고 있다.
단문 메세지 서비스(SMS:short message service)는 이동통신 단말기간 또는 인터넷에 접속한 개인용 컴퓨터와 이동통신 단말기간에 한글 40자 내외의 짧은 문장을 주고받을 수 있는 문자 서비스이다.
이메일과 달리 발송 시점과 거의 동시에 내용 전달이 가능하고, 무선 호출 서비스와는 달리 이동통신 단말기가 꺼져 있거나, 심지어 통화가 불가능한 지역에 상대방이 위치하고 있더라도 며칠간 보존이 가능하기 때문에 통신수단의 하나로 이미 확고한 자리를 굳힌 상태다.
이에 따라, 최근에는 단문 메세지 서비스를 이용하여 많은 광고주 또는 광고업체에서 광고를 제공하게 되었다.

본 발명은 전술한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 창안된 것으로서, 단문 메세지 서비스 이용시 광고 업체가 광고 정보를 발신자에게 제공하고, 단문 메세지 서비스 이용에 따른 요금을 광고 업체가 대신 지불하여 발신자가 문자 메세지 이용에 따른 요금을 지불하지 않고도 단문 메세지 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 함과 더불어 광고 효과도 높일 수 있도록 한 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 시스템 및 방법 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다.

상기 발신자의 이동통신 단말기는 상기 문자 메세지 전송 요청이 있으면, 상기 문자 메세지를 무료로 전송할 것인 지 선택하는 표시창을 표시하여 상기 문자 메세지를 무료로 전송할 것인 지를 선택하도록 하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
이하에서는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 방법을 첨부된 도면들을 참조하여 상세하게 설명한다.
도 1 은 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 방법의 서비스 흐름도이고, 도 2 는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 시스템의 블럭 구성도이며, 도 3 은 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 방법의 순서도이며, 도 4 는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이동통신 단말기의 광고 표시 예를 도시한 도면이다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 방법은 도 1 에 도시된 바와 같이, 먼저 이동통신 단말기(100)를 휴대하는 사용자가 이동통신 단말기(100)를 이용하여 이동통신망(200)을 통해 SMS 서버(300)에 단문 메세지 서비스를 요청하면, SMS 서버(300)는 단문 메세지 서비스 요청 신호를 서비스 서버(400)에 전송한다.
참고로, 이하 명세서에서 문자 메세지는 화상, 동영상이나 칼라 메일을 포함하는 MMS도 포함하는 것으로 한다.
서비스 서버(400)는 단문 메세지 서비스 요청이 있으면, 광고 시스템(500)에 광고 정보를 요청한다.
광고 시스템(500)은 광고 서버(510)가 내부에 구비된 광고 정보 DB(520)에서 광고 정보를 검출하고 검출된 광고 정보를 서비스 서버(400)로 제공한다.
SMS 서버(300)는 서비스 서버(500)에서 제공된 광고 정보를 사용자의 이동통신 단말기(100)로 전송한다. 또한, SMS 서버(300)는 발신자가 전송 요청한 문자 메세지를 수신자의 이동통신 단말기(100)로 전송하고, 서비스 서버(400)가 문자 메세지 전송에 따른 이용요금을 과금 서버(600)에 등록한다.
즉, 발신자는 광고를 보는 대신에 문자 메세지 전송에 따른 요금을 지불하지 않고도 이들 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 되고, 광고 업체는 단문 메세지 서비스를 이용하는 사용자에게 광고 정보를 제공할 수 있게 된다.
도 2 는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 시스템의 블럭 구성도로서, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 시스템은 발신자 또는 수신자의 이동통신 단말기(100), 이동통신망(200), SMS 서버(300), 서비스 서버(400) 및 광고 시스템(500)을 구비한다.
이동통신 단말기(100)는 사용자에게 문자 메세지를 작성할 수 있도록 하고, SMS 서버(300)에 문자 메세지 전송을 요청하고, 문자 서비스 전송 요청이 있으면, 문자 메세지를 무료로 전송할 것인 지 선택하도록 하는 표시창을 표시하여 발신자로 하여금 선택하도록 한다. 또한, SMS 서버(300)로부터 수신된 문자 메세지 및 광고 정보를 디스플레이부를 통해 표시한다.
SMS 서버(200)는 이동통신 단말기(100)로부터 단문 메세지 서비스를 요청받으면, 발신자의 전화번호를 포함하는 서비스 요청 신호를 서비스 서버(400)에 전송하고, 이 후 서비스 서버(400)로부터 광고 정보가 전송되면 이 광고 정보를 발신자의 이동통신 단말기(100)로 전송한다.
개인정보 DB(700)는 발신자와 수신자의 이름, 주소, 전화번호, 직업 및 관심분야 등과 같은 개인정보를 저장한다.
광고 시스템(500)은 광고 정보를 추출하여 SMS 서버(300)에 광고 정보를 전송하는 것으로서, 광고 서버(510)와 광고 정보 DB(520)를 구비하고 이동통신 단말기(100)를 이용하는 가입자들의 개인 정보 DB(700)와 연결된다. 여기서, 광고 정보 DB(520)는 기업 로고, 상품 정보 등을 포함하는 다양한 광고 정보를 저장한다.
광고 서버(520)는 서비스 서버(400)로부터 광고 요청 신호가 전송되면, 발신자의 이동통신 단말기(100)의 전화번호에 따라 개인정보 DB(700)에서 해당 발신자의 개인정보를 추출하고, 이 개인정보에 따라 광고 정보 DB(520)에서 광고 정보를 검출하여 서비스 서버(400)로 전송한다.
여기서, 광고 서버(510)는 서비스 서버(400)로부터 전송된 발신자의 전화번호에 따라 각기 다른 광고 정보를 전송할 수 있는 데, 이 경우 발신자의 개인정보 즉, 나이, 성별, 직업 및 관심분야 등에 따라 적절한 광고 정보를 검출하여 전송한다. 특히, 관심분야는 이동통신 단말기를 이용하여 이동통신 업체에 가입하는 경우, 해당 이동통신 업체가 해당 고객에게 다양한 서비스 또는 광고 정보를 제공하기 위해 통상적으로 입력을 요구하는 데, 반드시 이동통신 업체에 가입하기 위해서 반드시 입력하여야 것은 아니다.
서비스 서버(400)는 SMS 서버(200)로 서비스 요청 신호가 입력되면, 광고 서버(510)에 광고 정보를 요청하는 광고 요청 신호를 전송한다. 이 후 광고 서버(510)로부터 광고 정보가 전송되면, 이 광고 정보를 SMS 서버(300)로 전송한다.
과금 서버(600)는 단문 메세지 서비스에 따른 광고 정보 제공에 따라 서비스 이용에 따른 이용 요금을 등록한다.
한편, 이동통신망(200)은 송수신 안테나를 통해 이동통신 단말기(100)와 정보를 교환하는 기지국(미도시)과, 유무선 채널관리 단말기 프로토콜 정합과 기지국 프로토콜 정합 및 제어를 수행하며 시스템 로딩 장애관리 등과 같은 기지국 관리 기능을 담당하는 기지국 제어기(미도시), 기지국에서 발신/착신되는 신호를 처리하고 기지국 제어기가 효율적으로 운용될 수 있도록 조정하는 중앙통제기능을 하는 교환기(미도시) 및 가입자의 발신, 착신상태, 부가서비스 등 각종 정보와 가입자 위치를 알려주는 홈위치등록기(미도시)를 포함한다.
여기서, 이동통신망(200)은 문자 메세지 전송, 음성 데이터 및 각종 신호를 송수신하는 일반적인 무선 네트워크망으로써, 당업자가 용이하게 실시할 수 있으므로 여기서는 그 상세한 설명을 생략한다.
통상적으로, 이동통신 업체는 메일 호스팅(Hosting) 업체와 제휴하여 메일 정보를 문자 메세지에 포함하여 사용자에게 제공하고 있는 데, 메일이 수신되었을 경우, 이동통신 업체에서는 메일 호스팅 업체로부터 수신된 메일 정보 예를 들어 메일 제목, 발신자 메일 주소,메일 수신 시각이 포함된 문자 메세지 사용자에게 제공한다.
여기서, 사용자에게 수신된 메일 정보가 포함된 문자 메시지를 전송하는 과정은 SMS 서버(300)가 소정 주기로 메일 서버들로부터 메일 정보를 독출하고, SMS 서버(300)는 독출한 메일 정보에 근거하여 메일이 수신되었음을 알리는 문자 메시지 즉, 수신된 메일 정보가 포함된 문자 메시지를 생성하여 수신자의 이동통신 단말기(100)로 전송한다.
이와 같이, 이동통신망(200)을 이용하여 각종 문자 메세지를 전송하는 과정은 당업자가 용이하게 실시할 수 있으므로 여기서는 그 상세한 설명을 생략한다.
도 3 은 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이통통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 방법의 순서도이다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 방법은 도 3 에 도시된 바와 같이, 발신자가 이동통신 단말기(100)를 이용하여 문자 메세지를 작성(S10)하고, 작성된 문자 메세지를 수신자의 이동통신 단말기(100)로 전송을 요청(S12)한다.
이 경우, 발신자의 이동통신 단말기(100)는 문자 메세지를 무료로 전송할 것인 지 선택하도록 하는 표시창을 디스플레이하여 무료로 전송할 것인 지 선택하도록 한다. 이 때, 발신자의 무료로 전송할 것을 선택하면, 문자 메세지 전송을 시작한다.
이와 같이, 문자 메세지 전송 요청이 있으면, SMS 서버(300)는 서비스 서버(400)에 발신자의 이동통신 단말기의 전화번호를 포함한 서비스 요청 신호를 전송(S16)한다. 서비스 서버(400)는 SMS 서버(300)로부터 서비스 요청 신호가 전송되면, 광고 서버(510)에 광고 요청 신호를 전송한다.
이 후, 광고 서버(510)는 발신자의 전화번호를 통해 개인정보 DB(700)에서 해당 발신자의 개인정보를 추출하고, 이 개인정보에 따라 광고 정보 DB(520)에서 적절한 광고 정보를 검출하여 서비스 서버(400)에 전송한다.
이 경우, 광고 정보는 발신자의 성별, 나이, 직업 및 관심분야 등에 따라 다양한 검출되어 전송된다.
한편, 서비스 서버(400)는 광고 서버(510)로부터 광고 정보를 수신(S18)하면, 이 광고 정보를 SMS 서버(300)로 전송(S20)한다.
이에 따라, SMS 서버(300)는 서비스 서버(400)로부터 전송된 광고 정보를 발신자의 이동통신 단말기(100)로 전송(S22)한다.
발신자의 이동통신 단말기(100)는 SMS 서버(300)로부터 광고 정보가 전송되면, 문자 메세지를 전송 중임을 나타내는 정보와 광고 정보를 표시(S24)한다.
여기서, 이 때, 문자 메세지 전송 중이라 함은 발신자 이동통신 단말기로부터 문자 메세지가 SMS 서버로 전송되는 소요되는 시간 내지 인터발(interval)을 의미한다. 일반적으로 2~5초 정도이며, 문자 데이터량이 폭주하는 경우에는 10~20초 정도 소요되는 것이 일반적이다.
이 경우, 이동통신 단말기(100)는 문자 메세지를 전송하는 과정에서 광고 정보를 출력하게 되는데, 이동통신 단말기(100)의 화면상에는 도 4 에 도시된 바와 같이, 광고 정보와 전송 요청 중이라는 메세지가 하나의 화면에 같이 표시된다.
따라서, 전송 요청 중이라는 메세지를 발신자가 확인하는 동안, 광고 정보를 확인하게 된다.
이 후, SMS 서버(300)는 발신자의 이동통신 단말기(100)로부터 전송된 문자 메세지를 수신자의 이동통신 단말기(100)로 전송(S26)한다.
이 후, SMS 서버(300)는 문자 메세지와 광고 정보에 대한 전송완료신호를 서비스 서버(400)에 전송하고, 서비스 서버(400)가 과금 서버(600)에 전송완료를 등록함과 더불어, 문자 메세지 전송에 따른 이용요금을 등록(S30)한다.
즉, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 방법은 사용자가 광고 정보를 발신자에게 제공하고, 단문 메세지 서비스 이용에 따른 요금을 광고 업체가 대신 지불하여 발신자가 단문 메세지 서비스 이용에 따른 이용 요금을 지불하지 않고도 단문 메세지 서비스를 이용하도록 한다.
참고로, 본 발명의 실시예에서는 광고 시스템(500)을 별도로 구비하여 문자 메세지 요청시 광고 정보를 검출하여 전송하는 것을 예시로 하여 설명하였으나, 본 발명의 기술적 범위는 이에 한정되지 않고, SMS 서버(300)에 직접 연계하여 구성하는 것도 가능하다할 것이다.
본 발명은 도면에 도시된 실시예를 참고로 하여 설명되었으나, 이는 예시적인 것에 불과하며 당해 기술이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자라면 이로부터 다양한 변형 및 균등한 타 실시예가 가능하는 점을 이해할 것이다. 따라서, 본 발명의 기술적 보호범위는 특허청구범위에 의하여 정해져야할 것이다.
본 발명은 이동통신달말기에서 단문메시지 전송시 등에 광고를 표시할 수 있는 것이다.

Claims (8)

  1. 발신자의 이동통신 단말기로부터 문자 메세지 전송이 시작되면, 발신자의 전화번호와 서비스 요청 신호를 전송하고, 동영상, 정지영상 및 문자를 포함하는 광고 정보가 전송되면 상기 광고 정보를 상기 이동통신 단말기로 전송하는 SMS 서버;
    발신자의 나이, 성별, 직업 및 관심분야를 저장하는 개인정보 DB;
    상기 광고 정보를 저장하는 광고정보 DB;
    상기 SMS 서버로부터 상기 발신자의 전화번호와 서비스 요청 신호가 전송되면, 상기 발신자의 전화번호와 광고 요청 신호를 전송하고, 상기 광고 정보를 상기 SMS 서버로 전송하는 서비스 서버;
    상기 서비스 서버로부터 상기 발신자의 전화번호와 광고 요청 신호가 전송되면, 상기 개인정보 DB에서 발신자의 나이, 성별, 직업 및 관심분야 중 적어도 1개 이상을 검출하고 상기 나이, 성별, 직업 및 관심분야 중 적어도 1개 이상을 고려하여 상기 광고정보 DB에서 상기 광고 정보를 검출하여 상기 서비스 서버로 전송하는 광고 서버; 및
    상기 SMS 서버가 수신자의 이동통신 단말기로 상기 문자 메세지의 전송이 완료되면 상기 문자 메세지 전송에 따른 이용 요금을 등록하는 과금 서버를 포함하며,
    상기 발신자의 이동통신 단말기의 디스플레이 부에서 상기 문자 메세지가 전송 중임을 나타내는 정보가 표시되는 동안 상기 SMS 서버로부터 상기 이동통신 단말기로 전송되는 상기 광고 정보가 상기 이동통신 단말기의 디스플레이 부에 함께 표시되는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 시스템.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 SMS 서버는 상기 발신자의 이동통신 단말기로 상기 광고 정보 전송이 완료된 후, 수신자의 이동통신 단말기로 상기 문자 메세지를 전송하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 시스템.
  3. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 발신자의 이동통신 단말기는 상기 광고 정보와 상기 문자 메세지를 전송 중임을 나타내는 정보를 상기 이동통신 단말기의 디스플레이 부의 화면을 분할하여 표시하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 시스템.
  4. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 발신자의 이동통신 단말기는 상기 문자 메세지 전송 요청이 있으면, 상기 문자 메세지를 무료로 전송할 것인 지 여부를 선택하는 표시창을 표시하여 상기 문자 메세지를 무료로 전송할 것인 지를 선택하도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 시스템.
  5. 발신자의 이동통신 단말기로부터 문자 메세지 전송이 시작되면, SMS 서버가 서비스 서버에 서비스 요청 신호를 전송하고 상기 서비스 서버가 광고 서버에 동영상, 정지영상 및 문자를 포함하는 광고 정보를 요청하는 단계;
    상기 광고 서버가 발신자의 나이, 성별, 직업 및 관심분야 중 적어도 1개 이상의 개인정보를 고려하여 광고 정보 DB에서 상기 광고 정보를 검출하여 상기 서비스 서버에 전송하면, 상기 서비스 서버가 상기 SMS 서버로 상기 광고 정보를 전송하여 상기 SMS 서버가 상기 광고 정보를 상기 발신자의 이동통신 단말기로 전송하는 단계; 및
    상기 발신자의 이동통신 단말기가 상기 문자 메세지 전송 중에 상기 광고 정보를 표시하는 단계를 포함하고,
    상기 발신자의 이동통신 단말기는 상기 광고 정보를 상기 문자 메세지 전송 중임을 나타내는 메세지를 표시하는 동안 표시하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 방법.
  6. 제 5 항에 있어서,
    상기 SMS 서버가 수신자의 이동통신 단말기로 상기 문자 메세지를 전송하면, 상기 서비스 서버가 과금 서버에 상기 문자 메세지 전송에 따른 이용 요금을 등록하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 방법.
  7. 제 5 항에 있어서,
    상기 SMS 서버는 상기 발신자의 이동통신 단말기로 상기 광고 정보 전송이 완료된 후, 수신자의 이동통신 단말기로 상기 문자 메세지를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 방법.
  8. 제 5 항에 있어서,
    상기 발신자의 이동통신 단말기는 상기 문자 메세지 전송 요청이 있으면, 상기 문자 메세지를 무료로 전송할 것인 지 선택하는 표시창을 표시하여 상기 문자 메세지를 무료로 전송할 것인 지를 선택하도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이동통신망을 이용한 광고 서비스 제공 방법.
