Abstract

The invention relates to a screw cap (1) produced in the plastic injection-molding process, comprising a cap base (2), a cap wall (3) and a cap opening (4, 4'), wherein an inner threading (5) is provided at the cap wall (3), said threading having one thread turn in any case, wherein the thread turn is further provided with a varying cross sectional area (Q1, Q2, Q3) along its length and extends over 360° or more beginning at the cap opening. In order to provide a screw cap manufactured in the plastic injection-molding process, said cap meeting the complex requirements place on such screw caps in automatic applications and in consumer applications as much as possible, it is proposed that the thread turn comprise a second cross sectional area (Q2) extending along a length corresponding to 120° or more as seen beginning from the cap opening (4, 4'), said second cross sectional area being larger in size than the first cross sectional area (Q1), said first cross sectional area (Q1) being configured in a length corresponding to 0° to 100 ° or more beginning at the cap opening (4, 4').
