Abstract
A flood protection device that seals a door or opening (5) in the outer wall of a room when the water level rises as a result of flooding, consisting of a buried tank (1) located in front of the door (5) to be protected and provided with at least one inlet channel leading from a nearby drainage opening (10), and a lower discharge outlet (3) leading to the drainage system, which outlet has a restricted flow rate computed in such a way that as the water inflow increases, the water level in the tank (1) rises, a float (2) rises and a flood gate (4) mounted thereon seals the opening to be protected as the flooding increases and the water level rises.
Claims
