Description

Modular construction system.
Technical field
The technical solution relates to a modular construction system.
Current state of the art
Various construction solutions are known from technical practice. There is, for example the well-known walled system.
Its disadvantages are slow construction, including all necessary technological interruptions, the wet process on the site, construction inaccuracy, intensity of workmanship skills and a rather high cost .
Furthermore, we know monolithic systems. Their disadvantages are also slow construction, including all necessary technological interruptions, wet process on the site, construction inaccuracy, intensity of workmanship skills and a high cost .
There are also wooden buildings. Their disadvantages are slow construction as the individual structural elements are mostly being produced directly on the site, lower accuracy of the construction and high demands of workmanship skills. Another disadvantages are bad static and technical characteristics .
There are also alternative construction types in the technical practice as for example modular buildings. Their disadvantages represent limited quantity of shape solution, largeness and high weight of individual components as well as high demands for accuracy of the construction.
Currently there is no such or similar construction system being used in the Czech Republic from the aspect of dimensional and technical solutions. Existing construction systems using modular construction are limited only to large dimensions similar to container spatial solutions or such as using the concept of placing structural elements on the ground then joining the individual elements into a unit.
Brief description of the technical solution
The construction modular system according to this technical solution in some degree does away with the above mentioned deficiencies. It is based on the principle of elementary modules consisting of four columns connected at each end to a square-built base and provided in the upper part with a couple of trimmers and on at least one side provided with an architectural slab. Individual modules are connected together and fit with a floor and ceiling and/or roofing system.
Individual modules may be connected with screws and/or bolts and/or welded joints. Floors, ceiling and roofing are made from the structural timber.
The basic module in its expedient version has the ground plan dimension 600 x 800 mm. At least one appliance and/or piece of equipment can be placed inside the module.
A structural modular system according to this technical solution combines advantages of the classic elemental construction system and modular system. This means the construction speed is increased and technological interruptions and wet process on the site are no longer required. Structural elements of the designed system may be installed in advance m the assembly shop and later put together into individual walls directly on location.
Thanks to this concept and dimension of individual self- supporting elements, no fixing agents preventing tilting of elements or whole walls are required.
In view of the fact that individual elements are connected with screws, bolts and welded joints the whole building becomes absolutely solid. Roof and ceilings can be solved with usual ceiling bond timbers made on the site or prefabricated in certified workshops.
Substantial advantage of this solution represents the option to place appliances and/or equipment directly into the module.
Other advantages according to this technical solution are quick construction, no technological interruptions, elimination of wet process on the site, low demand of workmanship skills and basically unlimited dimensional solution, good static and technical characteristics, good physical and technical characteristics, option to have the built-in furniture already in the shell construction, low storage area demands on the site, good articulation ability with other construction systems, excellent environmental characteristics and low construction costs. Modular buildings are easy to disassemble and easy to be ecologically recycled. - A -
Protected system includes individual benefits of known construction systems. During the preparation phase individual components are produced on the shop floor, which are later put together on the site. Thanks to dimensional and weight solution of the whole system, the entire building can be built up without need of demanding lifting devices and at the same time delay of the construction is avoided as well as technological interruptions necessary for quality workmanship of the building.
The whole construction system complies with all current structural standards and regulations.
Summary of drawings
The construction modular system according to this technical solution will be described in detail on specific examples of the execution together with attached drawings, where on the drawing No. 1 is demonstrated the exemplary module in axonometric view. The image No. 2 shows the axonometric shell construction made from modules. The image No. 3 shows in axonometric view variable arrangement of the modular building interior according to this technical solution.
Examples of the technical solution
The model construction modular system consists of basic modules formed by four columns 1^1 connected at each end to square-built bases 2_ and provided in the upper part with a couple of trimmers 3_ and at least on one side with an architectural element 4_. Individual modules are connected by screws and have floor and roofing made from bond timbers. The basic module ground plan dimension is 600 x 800 mm including structural joints. The vertical dimension is selected according to the overhead clearance of the floor level including floor and ceiling structure with the optimum vertical dimension of 3000 mm.
Individual modules consist of following structural elements: 4 x columns 1. of the size 80 x 160 mm, 2 x trimmers 3_ of the size 80 x 160 mm, two steel weldments made as an untypical product for the bases 2_ and joining material.
Individual modules may be provided with architectural elements 4_ made from common materials such as joinery facing materials, wood-chips boards, cetris boards, gypsum boards, gypsum wood-fibre boards, cement-fibre boards, fibreboards, plywoods, sheetmetals made from various materials - aluminium, steel, stainless steel, other alloys and other materials.
So, this construction is using construction timber, construction steel rolled sections, aluminium profiles, profiles made from other metal composites or profile made from alternative composites, such as carbonaceous composites, glass fibre composites, wood composites etc.
Electrical appliances and other technical equipment such as storage tank heaters, gas and electrical heating bodies and systems, internal security system distribution and the like can be placed into individual modules.
Also other components such as seats, folding desks, storage systems, tables, hinged beds etc. can be also placed in modules. The technical solution may have various size variants. The basic module has a ground plan dimension 800 x 600 mm, staircase module may have the ground plan dimension 1200 x 600 mm, 900 x 800 mm, 1400 x 600 mm, 1200 x 800 mm, or atypical dimensions tailored to needs of the building and technical solution. The box module may have the ground plan dimension 1400 x 600 mm, 2000 x 600 mm and as well atypical dimension tailored to needs of the buildings and technical solution. The bed module may have the ground plan dimension 1800 x 600 mm, 2200 x 600 mm and too atypical dimension tailored to needs of the buildings and technical solution. The window board module may have the ground plan dimension according to the basic or alternative size series of the construction system and the vertical size is in accordance with the overhead clearance of the window board, including the floor structure. Also in this case the atypical dimension tailored to needs of the buildings and technical solution can be produced.
Industrial usability
The construction modular system according to this technical solution will come in useful not only for construction of new buildings but also for refurbishment of existing buildings, for example family houses, residential buildings, industrial storage and production structures, small buildings and extensions and for superstructures of both existing and new buildings.
