Description

APPLICATIONFOR PATENT
Transfer of cash from one Mobile Phone user to another Mobile Phone user with instant access to the withdrawal and pay out of cash.
Al. FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention is for the Transfer of Cash from One Mobile Phone User to another Mobile Phone User with instant access to the withdrawal and pay out of cash.
A2. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The main reason for this Invention is to make available the transfer of cash funds from one person to another using the Senders Mobile Phone and thereby having the flexibility of transferring Funds at any hour of the day irrespective as to whether the Banks are open or not and even though the Receiver may be living across the Globe, the moment the Recipient is informed of the transfer of Cash by the Sender, the Receiver will have instant access to receiving his/her Cash from pre-designated payout points.
A3. Whilst there are many methods available for cash transfer through Banks, Cash Transfer Companies and other informal methods, none of these methods afford the ability to transfer the Funds via the Mobile Phone allowing immediate access to the Cash from the nearest Pay out point/s globally by transferring to any users mobile phone irrespective of who operates the Mobile Network.
In several known cash transfer methods, the RECEIVER of the cash has to collect, the cash from Banks or authorized cash points during regular Banking hours or working hours whilst the costs of such transfers are a lot more expensive than the method provided for through this Invention where transfer is secure and instantaneous.
A4. The primary object of the invention is to transfer Funds from one person (for this purpose the person is referred to as the "SENDER") via the use of his / her Mobile Phone which will enable another person to receive these Funds almost immediately with ability of the "RECEIVER" making a withdrawal from a number pay out points using the "protocols" associated with the invention and such withdrawal information being conveyed to the "RECEIVERS" Mobile Phone.
A5. The secondary object of the invention is to make the Funds transfer safe, convenient to use, fast and cost effective allowing for withdrawal of Funds during anytime or hour of the day by the "RECEIVER" who may be living in another part of the World. A6. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
STEP 1 - The person making the Cash transfer using this Invention will purchase a
Mobile Cash Transaction Card from the Merchant outlet which card will be electronically generated through the Electronic Funds Transfer terminals (POS / EFTPOS) Machines available at Merchant outlets and the Mobile Cash Transaction card will contain a 9 digit Primary Transaction Code (primary transfer reference number) and the value of the amount of cash the Sender has purchased for transfer through his or her Mobile Phone. This voucher will also contain the details of "How to Use", Conditions of Use, Transaction Fee details and the Customer Help line Number.
In order to facilitate the electronic generation of the 9 digit transaction code the EFTPOS / POS terminals will be integrated to the Mobile Cash Payment Gateway which will host the Mobile Cash Software driving this Invention.
STEP 2 - The "SENDER" will through his / her Mobile Phone Dial -up a pre determined Phone number, which is stated on the Mobile Cash Transaction Card and will follow the instructions of the "Voice Prompts" which will be provided by the Software associated with the Invention to "Activate" the Cash transfer.
The "SENDER" of the Cash requires inputting this information by keying in it on the Mobile Phone Key pad in response to the requests of the "Voice prompts".
DESCRIPTION OF THE UNIQUE PROTOCOLS ASSOCIATED WITH MOBILE CASH TRANSFERS
STEP 3
"SENDER" dials into Mobile Cash Payment Gateway and the following interaction will commence;
Prompt 1 - For Sinhala Language press 1, for English press 2 or Tamil press 3.
Prompt 2 - Enter your 9 digit Primary transaction code, which appears on the Mobile Cash Transaction Card. (The prompt repeats the number keyed in and then asks to confirm by pressing 1 or 2 to re-enter, on the key pad of the Mobile Phone.)
Prompt 3 - Enter the "RECEIVERS" Mobile Phone number followed by the # key. Prompt repeats number - Request Press 1 to confirm. Press 2 to re-enter.
Prompt 4 - Enter the Sum of Cash you wish to transfer.
Prompt Repeats Sum entered. Requests Press 1 to confirm, Press 2 to re- enter.
Prompt 5 - Make up and enter your own 4 digit Transfer Security PIN. This is a four digit number the Sender will make up and enter. Prompt repeats number - Requests Press 1 to confirm. Press 2 to Re-enter.
The Voice Prompt will now inform "SENDER" that the Mobile Cash Transfer has been "Activated" on the Mobile Cash Payment Gateway.
The Mobile Cash Server Voice prompts will request "SENDER" to inform the "RECEIVER" of the cash transfer and the following under mentioned information which will enable the "RECEIVER" to almost instant withdrawal of cash.
1. The 9 digit Primary transaction code. (Refer step 1)
2. The amount of cash transferred. (Refer step 1)
3. The 4 digit Transfer Security PIN number. (Refer step3 - prompt 5)
The interaction with the Mobile Cash Payment Gateway is now complete and the "SENDER" of Mobile Cash terminates the Call made to the Payment Gateway. The Mobile Cash Payment Gateway will be configured to communicate with "RECEIVERS" Mobile Phone Number and send by Short Text Message (SMS) a Transaction Tracer Reference number for the transaction and confirms that a Cash sum awaits Collection at any Mobile Cash Pay out point or Merchant location.
STEP 5
The "How to Use" instructions appearing on the Mobile Cash Transaction Card will require the "SENDER" to communicate by Short Text Message (SMS) with the Mobile Phone of the "RECEIVER" and inform him / her of the 9 digit Primary Transaction Code and the amount of cash sent to enable withdrawal of Funds.
In order to maintain heightened Security, the "How to Use" instructions will require the Sender to communicate the 4 digit Transfer Security PIN verbally to the "RECEIVER" and thereby ONLY the "SENDER" and "RECEIVER" will have the knowledge of the content of the 4 digit Transfer Security PIN which is the security "PIN" for the withdrawal of Funds.
STEP 6
"RECEIVER" of Funds will go to Merchant premises in his vicinity and request the Payout of Funds.
The Merchant will provide the EFTPOS / POS Terminal allowing accessing the Mobile Cash Payment Gateway. (The Merchant will dial - in to the Payment Gateway and provide the connectivity.)
The "RECEIVER" will input the following data when prompts are displayed on the EFTPOS / POS visual display.
1. 9 digit Primary Transaction Code relating to the cash transfer.
2. The "RECEIVERS" Mobile Phone Number.
3. The Amount of Cash to be received.
4. The Transfer Security PIN (4 digit number only known to the "SENDER" and the "RECEIVER".) The EFTPOS / POS Terminal will access the Mobile Cash Payment Gateway and verify the "protocol" information and if matched will receive an approval (which will be visually displayed on the EFTPOS / POS Terminal) enabling the "Merchant" to make the Cash payment to the "RECEIVER".
The EFTPOS / POS Terminal in the Merchant premises will also print out a Receipt for signature by the Receiver, which will be used as proof of payment of cash to the "RECEIVER" together with associated transaction references.
THIS ENDS THE TRANSFEROF CASHFROM ONE MOBILE PHONE USER TO ANOTHERMOBH-E PHONE USERWITH INSTANTACCESS TO THE WITHDRAWALAND PAYOUT OF CASH.
The process flow is shown hereunder. The process flow illustrates the best mode contemplated for carrying out the Invention and serves to explain the principles of the invention.
