Abstract

The invention relates to a combustion hearth in particular for a biofuel, that comprises a frame (1) defined by at least two side walls (1a, 1b), a rear wall (1e) and an upper wall (1c) provided with at least one opening (4) for the passage of the combustion flames above said upper wall (1c), characterised in that the fuel is contained in a compartment (10), open towards the top, of a drawer (2) that can be moved relative to the upper wall (1c) of the frame between a first position in which it protrudes forward from said upper wall, and a second position in which it is entirely located under said upper wall, the drawer including an upper flap (13) that can cover or uncover the fuel compartment (10).
