The said invention provides contribution in preventing the health problems and epidemics which are caused by the microbes and dirts carried through the bottom of the shoes in all places used by the people such as schools, hospitals, houses, restaurants, offices and also in stock farms. The invented mat consists of a metal sheet body (3) which carries the system completely, an electric motor (1 ) and a reducer with a sensor which provides the movements of the system, chains (5) and transmission components which are composed of sprockets (4), bottom cleaning brushes (7) which perform the cleaning and disinfection appliance parts which pump the disinfection liquid to the bottom cleaning brushes (7).

Description

SPECIFICATION
ELECTRIC DOOR MAT
This invention is related with the electric door mat which is placed in front of the doors and used for shoe-sole cleaning and activated by a sensor.
Objective of many of the studies rapidly carried out in almost all the fields in the world of the present time is to provide a better and healthier life. Beside the development of numerous machines and appliances in order to make human life easier, a great many products enter our life for healthcare, hygiene and aesthetic purposes every day.
Hygiene of both our houses and work places is very important for a healthy life. For work places, hygiene may be not only a health issue as well as an element of preferability and prestige. Particularly, hygiene at such places as restaurants, cafeterias, fastfood stores, etc. or entertainment places where people may spend their leisure is of utmost importance in terms of both heath and direct commercial return.
People carry out most of their activities outdoors. When people who lead their every day life in streets and lanes go to an covered space, for instance, for dining, an employment interview, for resting purposes or just being at home, the sole of their shoes have just been smeared with the dirt of the streets. In particular, the soles of shoes are smeared with such matters as mud and the like in rainy and snowy weather. Entering a covered space with shoes in this condition causes a great distress. First of all, this is a health issue and whenever one enters a restaurant, a governmental department or office, shoes leave such dirt on the place where one has just stepped and cause damage to the floor. This is also the case when one enters a house.
Contamination caused by such matters requires teams and equipment to clean such matters in public places where innumerable people enter and exit, thus causing extra costs to be incurred. Door mats placed in front of the doors have been being used for many years in order to prevent such dirt on the soles of shoes from being taken into the interior. Likewise, foot wipers in the form of grids made of metal on which one may wipe the sole of his shoes in order to cause mud patches to drop are attached to the side of such door mats. All this is applied in the following manner: People who arrive at a covered space shall wipe their shoes on such grids and are allowed in once they clean the soles of their shoes. However, at a place such as a hospital where there are innumerable people who enter and exit the place and where hygiene is a vital matter, metallic grids and door mats placed in front of the door may not ensure the desired cleanliness, but any mud and dirt deposited on them as a consequence of their use further poses a problem. As the shoes may not be cleaned as required, stains and dirt remain on the floor and the requirement of making available a team to clean the same constitutes an extra financial burden. Furthermore, cleaning of the feet in this manner is not always attractive for children and they usually prefer overlooking such cleaning. Likewise, it may also cause problems for those who have difficulties in movement and handicapped and elderly people to wipe clean their shoes on the door mat or metallic grids.
The objective of the product subject to this invention to develop an electric door mat which shall ensure full cleaning of the shoe soles to prevent lack of hygiene arising out of insufficient cleaning of the shoe soles by the door mats placed in front of doors, collect any residual matters caused by such cleaning in a reservoir and easily discharge them, thus ensuring its own cleanliness, and facilitate its use by children, patients and elderly people.
The electric door mat which is activated by a sensor which is developed in order to achieve the said objects and used in the cleaning of the shoe soles is described in the figures enclosed herein and please find the description of such figures here below.

The invention comprises of three major parts: the metal sheet frame (3) supporting the complete system; transmission components consisting of the electric motor (1) with sensor and reducer (2), chains (5) and chain gears (4) which activate the system; and sole cleaning brushes (7) performing the cleaning process and disinfection assembly pumping disinfecting liquid to the sole cleaning brushes (7). The system operates in the following manner:
The electric motor (1) fed by the electric mains and activated by the command from the sensor starts operating upon the command from the sensor (13) and creates a movement. This movement is transmitted to the reducer (2) which provides revolutions at the desired rate and then to the transmission components. Gears (4) start rotating and the movement in the reducer (2) is transmitted to the chains (5) by the gears. The movement coming from the chains (5) on the exterior is transmitted to the chains (5) connected to the mat system in the interior and the mat frame on which the sole cleaning brushes (7) are attached is activated. The sole cleaning brushes (7) are designed to comply with the alignment of the grid (6) and to pass through the grid (6). The sole cleaning brushes (7) moving within the grid (6) which allows the brush bristles to come out equally and which must be stepped on wipe the soles of the shoes of the person who stands on the grid (6), thus performing the cleaning process. The tips of the sole cleaning brush (7) protruding through the grid
(6) accomplish the cleaning process to be perpendicular to the soles of the shoes and to perform a continuous lateral movement. In order to disinfect the sloes of the shoes, disinfectant spraying nozzles (12) are installed on the sole cleaning brushes
(7) and the disinfecting liquid is sprayed over the sole cleaning brushes (7) via these nozzles (12) by the pump (19) system.
Connected to the reducer (2) by means of a shaft (18), the pump (19) is attached on the frame (3) with the pump fastener (20) and is automatically activated by the movement which it receives via the shaft (18) when the motor (1) starts operating. Once the pump (1) is activated, the disinfecting liquid in the disinfecting liquid container (22) starts being fed into the pump (19), and the disinfecting liquid arriving in the pump (19) by means of the pump intake pipe (21) is transferred to the disinfecting liquid spraying nozzles (12) via the transfer pipe (23) in a compressed manner and is sprayed on the sole cleaning brushes (7) by these nozzles. In this manner, better hygiene has been ensured in cleaning because the sole cleaning brushes (7) are reinforced by the disinfecting liquid during the cleaning process. The brushes (7) performing the cleaning process by wiping the soles of the shoes are in a perpetual circulation as long as the motor (1) operates and scrape any dust, dirt and mud accumulations by wiping the soles of the shoes of the person standing on the grid. Various dirt, mud particles may be accumulated on the bristles of the sole cleaning brushes (7) in the mat system which operates in this manner. In order to clean such accumulations, i.e. in order for the system to self-clean, the sole cleaning brushes (7) rub past the stationary brush (16) which is attached to the stationary brush attachment profile (17) which is installed over the dust collecting reservoir (14) during such circulation, and any dust and dirt on the brush fall down into the U-shaped reservoir. Those brushes (7) whose cleaning process is over are separated by rubbing the triangular brush separator (15) installed on the grid in order to prevent such problems as the cohesion of the bristles due to wetness or dirt and failure to easily engage in their slot between the grid lines and return to their slots on the grid (6), thus resuming the cleaning process.
The product subject to the invention shall support the creation of a healthy environment particularly in any buildings where innumerable people enter and exit and in general in all spaces with the superior cleaning power it provides.
