Abstract

This invention relates to a fuel tank (1) and fuel pump assembly for automobiles comprising a fuel tank provided with an access port (3) at its upper wall (2), said access port (3) sealingly joined to a mounting ring (4) provided with mounting studs (9), a fuel pump module (6) sealingly and downwardly disposed through the access port (3), the free end of said module being positioned and submerged within a swirl pot (11) provided at the bottom of said fuel tank (1) below said fuel pump module (6). This invention improves the fuel supply and is cost effective.
