Abstract

This cushion (10) comprises two contiguous parts, with a lower part (12) having an elongate shape in a longitudinal direction substantially parallel to the body of the subject, and a torso part (14) that forms a continuation of the lower part at its proximal end. The lower part is designed to support the right or left leg (42) of the subject, while the torso part, which extends in a transverse direction asymmetrically with respect to the lower part, supports the subject's chest on the same side and also his arm (38) on the same side. The distal edge (46) of the torso part forms a support for the top of the subject's chest, and the cushion is essentially free of any part capable of supporting the subject's head (44).
