Abstract

An FRP pipe comprising at least three reinforcing fiber layers, namely, the first reinforcing fiber layer of which the fiber axis is in the axial direction of the pipe, the second reinforcing fiber layer of which the fiber axis is at an angle of +θ1° to the axial direction of the pipe, and the third reinforcing fiber layer of which the fiber axis is at an angle of -θ2° to the axial direction of the pipe, wherein the second and third reinforcing fiber layers are made by using a continuous reinforcing fiber and the matrix resin in the first to third reinforcing fiber layers is a product of curing of a molding composition comprising a cycloolefin monomer and a polymerization catalyst. The FRP pipe has high strength and stiffness and excellent surface appearance.
