Abstract

A simple transporting self-traveling vehicle operation managing system and method for integrally managing the position and travel information on a transporting self-traveling vehicle when the transporting self-traveling vehicle fails and normally travels. The operation managing system comprises magnetic markers (3) provided along a travel magnetic tape (1), magnetic marker detecting means (4) for detecting a magnetic marker (3) provided to the transporting self-traveling vehicle (2) and counting up the address of the magnetic marker (3), travel failure monitoring means (5) provided in the transporting self-traveling vehicle (2), and an operation monitoring device (7) connected to the transporting self-traveling vehicle (2) through communication means, receiving the detection contents detected by the magnetic marker detecting means (4) from the transporting self-traveling vehicle (2) and the operation state of the travel failure monitoring means (5), and displaying the position and travel information about the transporting self-traveling vehicle (2). Therefore, the position and travel information on the transporting self-traveling vehicle (2) can be integrally managed when the transporting self-traveling vehicle (2) fails and travels normally.
