An avatar generation device is characterized in comprising a non-appearance information acquisition means that acquires, as information related to a user, non-appearance information that can not be identified from user's appearance by using identification information to identify a user made to correspond to an avatar, an avatar item memory means that stores information of items composing the avatar and at least one of the items in association with the non-appearance information, and an avatar generation means that selects an item used for an avatar made to correspond to a user out of the items stored at the avatar item memory means based on the non-appearance information acquired by the non-appearance information acquisition means thereby generating an avatar.
