Abstract
A plasma display device comprises a plasma display panel (PDP) having a first substrate and a second substrate opposed to each other via a discharge space and a driving unit for driving the PDP. For example, first and second electrodes which make a pair, a first dielectric layer, a plurality of address electrodes extending in a direction intersecting with a direction in which the first electrode extends, and a protection layer are sequentially laminated on the first electrode. A plurality of division walls extending along the address electrode are provided on the second substrate. For example, the driving unit comprises an address driver for selectively applying an address pulse on the address electrode for each display line and a scan driver for sequentially applying a scan pulse the pulse width of which is 0.7 μs or more and 0.9 μs or less on the second electrode of each display line. As a result, erroneous discharge can be prevented.
