DISPOSABLE PLATES CARRYING AN ADVERTISING MESSAGE
DESCRIPTION TECHNICAL FIELD
The present finding relates to disposable food plates carrying an advertising message on surface thereof. The same message can be applied on a pair of plates that, being opposite and restrained each other by fitting, define an internal space containing foodstuffs, i.e. food or dishes.
BACKGROUND ART
As known, advertising market is always looking for new communication channels that allow a large number of consumers to be reached in an easy, efficient and cheap way. The communication channels that are used nowadays are mainly newspapers, TV channels and internet.
The basic idea of the present finding is to characterise a novel means for carrying advertising messages toward the consumers, and such a means can be constituted by specific plates and packages for food.
In particular, the plates that are referred to are plastic plates of a disposable type that usually do not contain any kind of message but now are used everyday in a very large number.
Being based on the principles of the present finding, the advertising messages that can be carried by the plates would be mainly relevant to products of thirds.
In the state of art an alternative solution which is constituted by a pair of opposite plates, in which food can be contained, is already known. In fact, such plates are the subject-matter of a previous patent application filed by the same inventor (RM 2007 A 000568). In particular, the plates already disclosed are preferably made of plastic material and have on their edges devices that allows them to be closed in an opposite relationship by twos. More precisely, the plates are of two kinds: the ones have a series of protuberances on their edge, the others have, on the their edge, housings that are complementary to said protuberances.
The housings and the protuberances are such that they allow pairs of plates to be restrained each other by fitting, so that a product, preferably food, can be contained within the plates and thus can be prevented to be exposed to external polluting agents, or be cooled quickly. • This technical solution has been thought above all with the object of creating a package for food ready cooked on the instant, that must be carried and eaten in fairly short time, as in case e.g. of pizzas for home delivery, but also in case of food that is eaten in restaurants, refectories, snack bars and fast-food restaurants.
It should be noted that said pair of closed plates in an opposite and restrained condition, are able to have inside, or on the external surface thereof, a wording, a drawing, a symbol, a distinguishing sign or similar. This is specifically advantageous for plates as items of this kind can be used for carrying an advertising message. Further, on the grounds of the same principle, other such as a distinguishing sign being connected to a product, a trademark being connected to a firm that manufactures such a product, a restaurant menu, telephone numbers for placing an order, .greeting messages, slogans, prize games, lotteries and the like can be applied on the plates.
DISCLOSURE OF THE FINDING
Therefore, a specific object of the present finding is a series of disposable plates carrying an advertising message, characterised in that said disposable plates have on their surface a specific message, preferably an advertising message that is represented by a writing, a drawing, a symbol or a distinguishing sign.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
The present finding will be now described by an illustrating but not limiting way according to some preferred modifications, reference being made to figures of enclosed drawings in which:
Figure 1 is a front perspective view of a. pair of closable plates containing an advertising message;
Figure 2 is a front perspective view of a disposable plate containing an advertising message. DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS OF FINDING
It is outlined that below only some of the possible modifications of the present finding are disclosed, as it is possible that other modifications can be described on the grounds of the particular identified solutions.
In particular, in figure 2 there is depicted a plate 30 having on its surface a specific message that is represented by a writing 35 and a drawing 36. The message is an advertising message, and in this case reference is made to products of thirds. According to another modification in figure 1 there are depicted two plates 10 and 20 having the same shape and positioned facing each other. The plates 10 and 20 have in their edges devices that are different the ones from the others: the plate 20 has a series of protuberances 21, 22, 23, and 24, and the plate 10 has respective housings 11, 12, 13, and 14 that are complementary to said protuberances.
The housing 11, 12, 13, and 14, and the protuberances 21, 22, 23, and 24, are such that - they allow pairs of plates to be restrained each other by fitting, like the plates 10 and 20, according to the direction of arrows as indicated in figure. In such a way, the plates 10 and 20, being closed, constitute a package for food ready cooked on the instant, that must be carried and eaten in fairly short time, as in case e.g. of pizzas for home delivery, but also in case of food that is eaten in restaurants, refectories, snack bars and fast-food restaurants.
Such a package can contain a product, preferably of a food kind, inside and can avoid it to be exposed to the external polluting agents or be cooled quickly.
However, the basic characteristic of this finding is represented in that said pair of closed plates 10 and 20 in an opposite and restrained condition by fitting are able to have a wording, a drawing, a symbol, a distinguishing sign or similar inside.
In this case, a wording 25 and a drawing 26 are applied on the internal surface of the plate 20. Both these elements 25 and 26 can represent either an advertising message of a firm, or a place of a restaurant, or a trademark distinguishing the product itself. Moreover, the same elements 25 and 26 can carry a restaurant menu, telephone numbers for placing an order, greeting messages, slogans, prize games, lotteries and the like.
Furthermore alternatively, the message can be a proper advertisement of goods and/or services that are provided by thirds.
According to another modification such plates can be made, either wholly or partially, of transparent plastic material that permits one to see within the plates.
The present finding has been described by an illustrating but not limiting way, according to some preferred modifications, but it is intended that changes and/or variations can be made by the skilled in art without departing from the scope as defined by the appended claims.
