Abstract

An electrolysis system comprises an electrolytic cell (10) for containing electrolyte (70), a heating section (20) provided around the electrolytic cell in order to heat the electrolytic cell, an electrode portion (30) having an electrode unit (30a) being immersed into the electrolyte and an electrode energizing portion (30b) for holding and energizing the electrode unit, a lid (45) for defining a closed space (40) above the electrolytic cell, a discharging portion (50) arranged at the lid, for making the closed space communicate with the outside and discharging by-product gas produced through electrolysis of the electrolyte from the closed space to the outside, and evaporation control members (60, 80, 80A, 80B, 90, 90A, 90B) arranged to float on the electrolyte while covering the surface thereof in order to control evaporation of the electrolyte while releasing the by-product gas produced through electrolysis to the closed space.
