質量%で、C:0.1~0.25%、Si:0.05~0.7%、Mn:0.05~1.2%、Cr:0.3~1.2%、S:0.005%以下、P:0.03%以下、N:0.02%以下、O(酸素):0.01%以下及びsol.Al:0.005~0.1%を含有し、残部はFeと不純物、又は更にFeの一部に代えてMo、Ni、Ti、V及びZrの1種以上を含有してなり、小型軽量化されたCVJにおいて、従来よりも大きな負荷応力が作用するボールケージに適用しても十分な耐用寿命が得られる、CVJボールケージ用鋼。
