Abstract
Disclosed is a method for producing a substrate (17, 18) for a liquid crystal panel. The method comprises: an oriented film solution application step of applying an oriented film solution (33) comprising an oriented film material and a solvent on the surface of the substrate (17, 18) by means of an ink-jet system (41); a solvent application step of applying a solvent (34) that is the same one as that used in the oriented film solution (33) on the surface of the substrate (17, 18) that has had the oriented film solution (33) applied thereon, by means of a spraying apparatus (42) that is different from the ink-jet system (41); and an oriented film formation step of removing the solvent from the oriented film solution (33) applied on the substrate (17, 18) to form an oriented film (27, 31).
