Abstract
A training device for stimulating at least part of the body of a living creature by means of oscillation, comprising a base frame, a oscillating member, driving means for oscillating the oscillating member relative to the base frame, which driving means are connected to the base frame and the oscillating member, and information display means which are connected to the base frame and wherein the information display means are connected to the base frame via at least one damping device, which at least one damping device is configured to damp the transfer of vibrations of the base frame to the information display means, and also an information support device, a damping device and the use thereof.
Description
Title: Oscillating training device, information support device, damping device and the use thereof.
This invention relates to a training device for stimulating at least part of the body of a living creature by means of oscillation. The training device comprises a base frame, a oscillating member, driving means for oscillating the oscillating member relative to the base frame, which driving means are connected to the base frame and the oscillating member, and information display means which are connected to the base frame.
A problem of said known training device is that a user during use of the training device often is not able to read the information of the information display means. Because of this, the user is for example not able to perform the displayed exercises in the right way or to read the displayed safety instructions of the training device.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a solution to the above mentioned problem. This problem is solved by a training device wherein the information display means are connected to the base frame via at least one damping device, which at least one damping device is configured to damp the transfer of vibrations of the base frame to the information display means. In use the drive means drive the oscillating member such that said member oscillates. The drive means are also connected to the base frame of the training device. Because of this, the driving means in use create a vibration in the base frame. Due to the vibration of the base frame, the information display means, which are connected to said base frame, vibrate also. As a result of the vibration movements of the information display means, the on said display means displayed information becomes unclear and vague for the user of the training device. Because of this, the user will in many cases not be able to read the information of the information display means. By connecting the information display means via at least one damping device to the base frame, the at least one damping device damps the transfer of the vibrations of the base frame to the information display means. Because of this, the information display means does not vibrate when the training device is used and the user is able to read the information of the information display means.
In an embodiment of the training device according the invention, the damping means are configured to damp vibrations with a frequency of between 0 Hz and 100 Hz, preferably between 25 Hz and 50 Hz. The damping means may be configured to damp vibrations with an amplitude of between 0 mm and 5 mm, preferably between 1 mm and 3 mm.
In another embodiment of the training device according the invention, the information
display means comprise two sides and each of said two sides is connected to the base frame via at least one damping device.
In a further embodiment of the training device according the invention, the base frame comprises a support structure for providing support to a user of the training device, which support structure extends from the oscillating member, and wherein the information display means are connected to said support structure. The at least one damping device may be connected to the base frame via an information support device. The information support device may be releasable connected to the base frame.
The invention further relates to an information support device for use in a training device according to the invention. The information support device may comprise connection means for connecting the information support device to the base frame. The connection means may be configured to releasable connect the information support device to the base frame.
In an embodiment of the information support device according the invention, the information support device may comprise two arms which are located at a distance from each other and extend from the connection means and wherein the information display means are connected to each arm via one damping device.
The invention further relates to a damping device for use in a training device according to the invention. The damping device may comprise an information holding member for holding the information display means. The damping device may comprises a circumferential damping body and the information holding member may be connected to said damping body via damping arms. The damping arms may comprise upper damping arms which connect the information holding means to an upper part of the damping body and lower damping arms which connect the information holding member to a lower part of the damping body. The information holding member may be located eccentric relative to the circumferential damping body and closer to the upper part of the damping body than to the lower part of the damping body.
The damping device may be configured to damp vibrations with a frequency of between 0 Hz and 100 Hz, preferably between 20 Hz and 60 Hz. The damping device may be configured to damp vibrations with an amplitude of between 0 mm and 5 mm, preferably between 1 mm and 3 mm.
The invention further relates to a training device comprising an information support device according the invention and/or a damping device according the invention. The invention further relates to an information support device comprising a damping device according the invention. The invention further relates to the use of a training device according the invention or an information support device according the invention or a damping device according the invention.
The present invention will be more readily appreciated as the same becomes better understood by reference to the following detailed description and considered in connection with the accompanying drawings in which like reference symbols designate like parts and in which: fig. 1 shows a front view of an embodiment of a training device according the invention, fig. 2 shows a back view of the training device of fig. 1 , fig. 3 shows a side view of the training device of fig. 1, fig. 4 shows a top view of the training device of fig. 1, fig. 5 shows a perspective view of the information support device of fig. 1 , fig. 6 shows a front view of the information support device of fig. 5, fig. 7 shows a side view of the information support device of fig. 5, fig. 8 an explosion view of a part of the information support device of fig. 5, fig. 9 shows a perspective view of the damping device of the information support device of fig. 5, fig. 10 shows a front view of the damping device of fig. 9, and fig. 11 show a perspective view of the damping device of fig. 9, which damping device is connected to the fixation lid of the information support device of fig. 5.
The figures 1-4 show an embodiment of the training according the invention. The training device 1 is configured to stimulate at least part of the body of a living creature by means of oscillation. The training device 1 comprises a base frame 2. The base frame 2 comprises a base plate 24 which in use on a floor 31 by means of support feet 30. The training device 1 comprises an oscillating member 3 which in use is driven in an oscillating movement by means of driving means 4. In use, a user of the training device may stand on the oscillating member 3. The driving means 4 are supported by the base plate 24. The base frame 2 further comprises a support structure 9 which extends upward from the base plate 24. The support structure 9 comprises a handle member 25, which handle member 25 provides support to a user of the training device 1.
An information support device 10 is connected to the handling member 25. The information support device 10 comprises connection means 11 for releasable connecting the information support device 10 to the handling member 25. The information support device 10 comprises information display means 5 in the form of a book 32 hanging on a support rod 33. The information display means 5 may be any information display means known in the state of the art, such as an electronic display screen. The information support device 10 comprises a first arm 12 and a second arm 13, which arms 12, 13 extend from the connection means 11. The information display means 5 comprise a first side 7 and a second side 8. The information display means 5 is with the first and second side 7, 8 connected to the first and
second arm 12, 13, respectively. Each of the two sides 7,8 is connected to an arm12, 13 by means of one damping device 6. Each damping device 6 is configured to damp the transfer of vibrations of the base frame 2 to the information display means 5.
The figures 5-8 show the information support device 10. Fig. 8 shows an explosion view of the part of the information support device 10 where the information display means 5 are connected to the first arm 12. The support rod 33 of the information display means 5 extends through an opening 34 in the first arm 12. The support rod 33 is placed in an information holding member 15 of the damping device 6. The damping device 6 is fixed to the arm 12 by means of a fixation lid 26. The figures 9-11 show the damping device 6. The damping device 6 comprises a circumferential damping body 16 with an upper part 20 and a lower part 22. The information holding member 15 is connected to the upper part 20 by means of two upper damping arms 15 and to the lower part 22 by means of two lower damping arms 20. The centre line 17 of the circumferential damping body 16 is indicated in fig. 10. The information holding member 15 is located eccentric relative to the circumferential damping body 16. The distance d1 from the upper part 20 to the information holding member 15 is smaller than the distance d2 from the lower part 22 to the information holding member 15. Fig. 11 shows the damping device 6 fixated to the fixation lid 26. The fixation lid 26 comprises a first, second and third fixation member 27, 28, 29 which fixate the circumferential damping body 16 of the damping device.
Claims
1. Training device for stimulating at least part of the body of a living creature by means of oscillation, comprising: a base frame, a oscillating member, driving means for oscillating the oscillating member relative to the base frame, which driving means are connected to the base frame and the oscillating member, and information display means which are connected to the base frame, characterised in, that the information display means are connected to the base frame via at least one damping device, which at least one damping device is configured to damp the transfer of vibrations of the base frame to the information display means.
2. Training device according to claim 1 , wherein the damping means are configured to damp vibrations with a frequency of between 0 Hz and 100 Hz, preferably between 25 Hz and 50 Hz.
3. Training device according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the damping means are configured to damp vibrations with an amplitude of between 0 mm and 5 mm, preferably between 1 mm and 3 mm.
4. Training device according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the information display means comprise two side and each of said sides is connected to the base frame via at least one damping device.
5. Training device according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the base frame comprises a support structure for providing support to a user of the training device, which support structure extends from the oscillating member, and wherein the information display means are connected to said support structure.
6. Training device according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the at least one damping device is connected to the base frame via an information support device.
7. Training device according to claim 6, wherein the information support device is releasable connected to the base frame.
8. Information support device for use in a training device according claim 6 or 7, which information support device comprises connection means for connecting the information support device to the base frame.
9. Information support device according to claim 8, wherein the connection means are configured to releasable connect the information support device to the base frame.
10. Information support device according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the information support device comprises two arms which are located at a distance from each other and extend from the connection means and wherein the information display means are connected to each arm via one damping device.
11. Damping device for use in a training device according to any of the preceding claims, which damping device comprises an information holding member for holding the information display means.
12. Damping device according to claim 11 , wherein the damping device comprises a circumferential damping body and the information holding member is connected to said damping body via damping arms.
13. Damping device according to claim 11 or 12, wherein the damping arms comprise upper damping arms which connect the information holding means to a upper part of the damping body and lower damping arms which connect the information holding means to a lower part of the damping body and wherein the information holding means are located eccentric relative to the circumferential damping body and closer to the upper part of the damping body than to the lower part of the damping body.
14. Damping device according to any of the claims 11 -13, wherein the damping device is configured to damp vibrations with a frequency of between 0 Hz and 100 Hz, preferably between 20 Hz and 60 Hz.
15. Damping device according to any of the claims 11 -14, wherein the damping device is configured to damp vibrations with an amplitude of between 0 mm and 5 mm, preferably between 1 mm and 3 mm.
16. Use of a training device according one of the claims 1-7 or a information support device according to one of the claims 8-10 or the damping device according to one of the claims 11-15.
