Abstract

Intended is to make an electric moxa heater into such a shape, while assuming that the heater is used by one person, as can contact easily a part to contact an affected part and to be treated, and to simplify the structure thereby to reduce the size and weight and to stabilize the temperature of the treated part to contact the affected part. The electric moxa heater is formed into an L-letter shape so that the treated part to contact the affected part may contact the affected part easily. The heater set is reduced in the size and weight by integrating a regenerative plate, a PTC heater and a base thereby to simplify the structure. Moreover, the heating means is exemplified by the PTC heater having smooth temperature rise and fall, and a heat-sensitive sensor is attached to the regenerative plate such that its signal is sent to a microcomputer to turn ON/OFF the power source of the PTC heater thereby to perform a delicate temperature control of the treated part to contact the human body directly. A heat insulating member is interposed between the regenerative plate and the treated part so that a time difference is made after the treated part is pushed to the affected part and before the patient feels hot, thereby to give the same feeling as that of the moxibustion of the prior art.
