Abstract
It is intended to provide a method whereby a membrane protein is expressed on cell membrane without affecting the localization or function thereof and thus conveniently and quickly detected. Between a pair of α-helix peptides forming a coiled coil dimer, the negative coil peptide is fused with a target membrane protein to give a tag. On the other hand, the other peptide (i.e., the positive coil peptide) constituting the pair of α-helix peptides forming the coiled coil dimer is bound to a fluorescent dye to give a probe. Thus, the target membrane protein is bound specifically to the fluorescent dye so that the membrane protein is conveniently and quickly detected.
