Abstract

La présente invention concerne un élément électroluminescent (EL) dont les performances ne se trouvent pas altérées par un processus de fabrication à haute température, ce qui permet de supprimer l'agrégation de points quantiques dans une couche d'émission de lumière dans des conditions de température élevée de 90°C, et qui conserve ses propriétés d'émission de lumière pendant une durée importante, ainsi qu'une longévité importante. L'élément électroluminescent comprend une paire d'électrodes et une couche électroluminescente qui est agencée entre la paire d'électrodes et contient au moins la couche d'émission de lumière. La couche d'émission de lumière contient un point quantique dont la surface est protégée par au moins un type de matière protectrice. Une telle matière protectrice a une température de transition vitreuse et un point de fusion supérieurs d'au moins 90°C.
