Abstract

A solder wire free of the problem of deterioration of the flux due to oxidation or water absorption and contrived so that the flux and solder are efficiently prevented from scattering because of abrupt heat application during soldering. The flux-including solder wire of the invention comprises a tubular outer shell formed of a solder alloy and a linear core formed of soldering flux. The tubular outer shell has at least one groove open to the outside and extending in the longitudinal direction. The flux-including solder wire is characterized in that the flux linear core is embedded in the tubular outer shell and is not exposed. A small-sized cutter of the invention is used for forming a cut along the groove of the flux-including solder wire to deepen the groove and thereby to expose the soldering flux.
