Abstract

A charged particle movement-type display panel (1) comprises a transparent substrate (10), a backside substrate (20) disposed opposing to the transparent substrate (10), a display liquid (40) sealed between the transparent substrate (10) and the backside substrate (20) and including charged particles. The display panel (1) further comprises a first rib (31) provided on the transparent substrate (10) so as to project toward the backside substrate (20) and a second rib (32) provided on the backside substrate (20) so as to project toward the transparent substrate (10). The first rib (31) has a joint (31b) connected to the transparent substrate (10) and at least having a width (L1) narrower than the width (L2) of the second rib (32) and a height (H1) lower than the height (H2) of the second rib (32).
