Abstract

Dargestellt und beschrieben ist ein Bremsklotz für Schienenfahrzeuge mit eine Bremsklotz rücken (l) aus Gusseisen und mit einer fest mit dem Bremsklotzrücken verbundenen Kunststoffmasse, wobei der Bremsklotzrücken einen gebogenen plattenförmigen Grundkörper (2) mit einer Tragfläche (3) auf einer Innenseite (4) für die Kunststoffmasse aufweist und wobei eine Gesamtbremsfläche des Bremsklotzes zu einem überwiegenden Anteil durch wenigstens eine Aussenfläche der Kunststoffmasse und zu einem geringeren Anteil durch wenigstens eine Aussenfläche des Bremsklotzrückens gebildet wird. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, daß der Grundkörper an den Längsseiten (5, 6) rahmenlos ausgebildet ist und an jeder Querseite (7, 8) eine wangenförmige Seitenwand (9, 10) aufweist, wobei die Kunststoffmasse zwischen den Seitenwänden angeordnet ist, wobei jede Seitenwand wenigstens eine sich von der Oberseite der Seitenwand in Richtung zu der Tragfläche erstreckende Unterbrechung (13, 14) aufweist und durch die Unterbrechung in wenigstens zwei stegförmige Seitenwandabschnitte (15-18) unterteilt ist und wobei Stirnflächen der Seitenwandabschnitte einen Anteil an der Gesamtbremsfläche bilden.
