Abstract
A suspension system (400) for a vehicle, comprising: a suspension medium comprising a pair of suspension means (404, 422) each located on a respective side of a longitudinal axis of an associated vehicle; and means (440, 450) for connecting each of said suspension means (404, 422) to a frame or chassis (406) of the associated vehicle; wherein said connecting means (440, 450) is capable of accommodating a deflection (as defined hereinabove) of the suspension means (404, 422) relative to the vehicle frame or chassis (406) in a transverse plane of the vehicle frame or chassis (406) , and wherein said connecting means (440, 450) is arranged to be generally rigid in a vertical plane extending longitudinally of the vehicle frame or chassis (406).
