Abstract

The invention relates to telecommunications and enables a network user to organise the private address space, thereby protecting against unauthorised distribution of information. One or more messages about the person of an information receiving user are formed in the device of said information receiving user and transmitted to a data transmission network. The message and the identifier of the channel, via which information was received, are recorded in an intermediate device. Then, an information message, a message about the region where the device of the information receiving user is located and a message about the person of the informationreceiving user are formed in the device of an information sending user and are transmitted to the information transmission network. The message about the region which is received from the device of the information sending user is compared with the earlier received or formed messages about the region in an intermediate device which has a communication channelwith the device of the information sending user or with another intermediate device. In the case of non-coincidence, the received messages are transmitted to the information transmission network via communication channels, the features of which differ from the channels, via which the compared messages were received or for which they were formed, and, in the case of coincidence, the identifier of the communication channel corresponding to the region where the device of the information receiving user is located, is determined and the thus received messages are transmitted via said communication channel.
