Abstract
An automatic analyzer suitably constructed to reduce its size. The automatic analyzer has a specimen dispensing mechanism and a reagent dispensing mechanism. The specimen dispensing mechanism has a specimen nozzle for discharging or drawing a specimen and also has specimen nozzle transfer means having mounted on it one end of the specimen nozzle, rotatable about an axis parallel to the longitudinal direction of the mounted specimen nozzle, and transferring the specimen nozzle. The reagent dispensing mechanism has a reagent nozzle for discharging or drawing reagent and also has reagent nozzle transfer means having mounted on it one end of the reagent nozzle, rotatable independent of the specimen nozzle transfer means relative to an axis that is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the mounted reagent nozzle and matches with the rotation axis of the specimen nozzle transfer means, and transferring the reagent nozzle.
