METHOD FOR PROVIDING SEARCH ADVERTISEMENT AND SEARCH ADVERTISEMENT SYSTEM
Technical Field
[1] The present disclosure relates to a search advertisement system using the Internet, and more particularly, to a method of providing a search advertisement and a search advertisement system that provide a search result list including an advertisement area with respect to a keyword requested by a searcher and provide a target page link desired by an advertiser based on a click of the advertisement area. Background Art
[2] A large portion of information resources has been acquired by networks including the
Internet and the like, along with advancement into an era of widespread communication information industries, and commercialization with respect to the networks including a high potential for on-line shopping has also rapidly advanced.
[3] In particular, a search engine locating a specific information resource in response to a request of an Internet user, processing the information resource, and providing the Internet user with information may easily secure buyers, and may increase a ripple effect of brand advertisement based on the easily-secured purchasers, and thus, advertisement media is increasing in importance.
[4] In a general Internet information search scheme, a searcher inputs a keyword used for a search in a search site accessed using a network, and the search site transforms resultant material retrieved with respect to the keyword (advertisement information about an advertiser) into a search result list, and provides the search result list for the searcher.
[5] Depending on which location of the search result list exposes the advertisement information of the advertiser in a service of providing the search result list, a great difference in a searcher exposure frequency with respect to the advertisement information, a number of inquiries of a web site of the advertiser, and the like may be shown. Depending on an advertisement information exposure location in the search result list, a great influence on an advertising effect acquired by the advertiser may occur.
[6] An operator of the search site providing the search result list sets an area with a great advertising effect in the search result list as a fee-based advertisement area, and exposes the advertisement information to the set fee-based advertisement area, thereby acquiring an effect of charging the advertiser for predetermined advertising costs and creating a high advertising income. The advertiser provided with an exposure service of the advertisement information acquires an effect of exposing the advertisement information of the advertiser to a location of the search result list with the high advertising effect.

[12] Another aspect of the invention provides a search advertisement system including: an advertisement information database configured to maintain detailed information about a product registered by an advertiser and a target page link of each product; a search list generating system configured to generate an advertisement information list of the advertiser corresponding to a keyword of a searcher and a predetermined exposure condition; and an advertisement management system configured to provide the generated advertisement information list for a predetermined search advertisement area, and to follow a target page link of the corresponding product according to the searcher's selection.

[14] Yet another aspect of the invention provides a search advertisement system including: an advertisement information database configured to maintain detailed information about each product registered by an advertiser and a target page link of each product; a search list generating system configured to generate an advertisement information list of the advertiser corresponding to a keyword of a searcher and a predetermined exposure condition; a shopping intermediary system configured to provide a landing page providing the detailed information about each registered product; and an advertisement management system configured to provide the generated advertisement information list for a predetermined search advertisement area, and to follow a link to a target page of the corresponding product after providing a link to the landing page using an interface with the shopping intermediary system according to the searcher's selection. [15] An aspect of the invention provides a method of providing a search advertisement and a search advertisement system that can provide, to a product advertiser other than a site advertiser, an advertiser for whom a search advertisement may be executed.
[16] Another aspect of the invention also provides a method of providing a search advertisement and a search advertisement system that can provide an individual seller without site based on a market place (MP) with a direct advertisement and a marketing opportunity with respect to a product.
[17] Another aspect of the invention also provides a method of providing a search advertisement and a search advertisement system that can directly provide a target page link desired by an advertiser or a seller with respect to a product being a search advertisement object.
[18] Another aspect of the invention also provides a method of providing a search advertisement and a search advertisement system that can provide a target page link of a corresponding product after first providing a landing page providing information about Title & Description (T & D) of the product.

[30] Reference will now be made in detail to exemplary embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to the like elements throughout. The exemplary embodiments are described below in order to explain the present invention by referring to the figures.
[31] Hereinafter, a method of providing a search advertisement and a search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention are described by referring to the attached figures.
[32] An embodiment of the invention may include a product of an advertiser in an advertisement object with respect to a search advertisement and may provide a direct link to a target page registered with respect to the product in a search advertisement area. In particular, the target page with respect to the product may include detailed information about the corresponding product and may include a purchase web page enabling a purchase activity.
[33] An embodiment of the invention may register the detailed information about the product in a shopping intermediary server being a knowledge information server in advance, and may provide an outlink to the target page of the corresponding product after passing through a landing page inlink by compulsion, the landing page inlink providing the detailed information about the product in the search advertisement area.
[34] FIG. 1 illustrates a configuration of a search system for providing a search advertisement area based on a search request of a searcher according to an embodiment of the invention.
[35] As illustrated in FIG. 1, a searcher 120 in the search system according to an embodiment of the invention inputs a keyword used for a search in a search engine 110 accessed using a network 140, and the search engine 110 transforms advertisement information of an advertiser 130 searching for the keyword into a search result list and provides the search result list for the searcher 120.
[36] The search engine 110 may denote a search program or a search web server providing a search operation to enable a web site including contents to be easily accessed, the contents being intended by the searcher 120 to be retrieved. The search engine 110 exposes the advertisement information about a content provider (CP) providing the contents requested by the searcher 120, that is, the advertiser 130, in response to a search request from the searcher 120, and accesses the searcher 120 to the web site of the advertiser 130 when the searcher 120 selects the exposed advertisement information.
[37] In particular, the search engine 110 according to an embodiment of the invention includes a site of the advertiser and a product of the advertiser 130 in an advertisement object, and provides an environment of providing a direct link to an advertisement information web page with respect to the product in the predetermined search advertisement area.
[38] The search engine 110 according to an embodiment of the invention may provide a link to a target page of the corresponding product after first providing a landing page link providing the detailed information about the product in the search advertisement area.

[40] When a searcher selects specific advertisement information in an advertisement information list of an advertiser, an embodiment of the invention provides a target page link of a product registered by the advertiser as an advertisement object.

[42] The search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention denotes the search engine 110. As illustrated in FIG. 2, the search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention includes an interface unit 210, an advertisement management system 220, an advertisement information database 230, and a search list generating system 240.
[43] The interface unit 210 receives information about product registration from a plurality of advertisers, that is, detailed information about a product, a target page link with respect to each product, an account and a bidding price of an advertiser, an advertisement channel of a search advertisement area, and the like.
[44] The advertiser may include an operator of a web site based on a market place (MP) such as a Small Office Home Office (SOHO) or a large shopping mall, an individual seller registering the product in the MP-based web site as a seller of an individual level (an individual seller without site), and the like.
[45] The advertisement information database 230 maintains a plurality of advertisement information corresponding to a keyword. The advertisement information database 230 receives the advertisement information from the advertiser, searches for the advertisement information when a search is requested afterwards, and stores the keyword being a cause for the advertisement information provided for the searcher, the keyword corresponding to the advertisement information.
[46] In particular, the advertisement information database 230 stores the detailed information of the product being the advertisement object registered by the advertiser, the target page link, and the like, which correspond to each advertiser.
[47] The search list generating system 240 extracts the advertisement information corresponding to the keyword from the advertisement information database 230, and selects a predetermined number of pieces of advertisement information from among the extracted advertisement information based on a predetermined exposure condition. The search list generating system 240 classifies the advertisement information by an advertisement channel, the advertisement information corresponding to the specific keyword and being retrieved from the advertisement information database 230.
[48] The search list generating system 240 generates an advertisement information list corresponding to the keyword of the searcher and the exposure condition.
[49] The advertisement management system 220 exposes the advertisement information list generated by the search list generating system 240 to the predetermined search advertisement area, and provides a direct link to a target page of the product registered by the corresponding advertiser when the searcher selects the specific advertisement information in the advertisement information list. When the searcher selects the specific advertisement information, the advertisement management system 220 follows the target page link of the retrieved product after searching for the product from the advertisement information database 230, the product being registered by the corresponding advertiser.
[50] A method of providing a search advertisement according to an embodiment of the invention using the above-described configuration is described in detail.
[51] FIG. 3 is a flowchart illustrating an entire process of a method of providing a search advertisement according to an embodiment of the invention based on the configuration of the system of FIG. 2, and FIGS. 4 and 5 are illustrated to describe an advertisement execution process based on a method of providing a search advertisement according to an embodiment of the invention.
[52] In operation S310, an advertiser registers a product of an advertisement object and inputs a target page link of each product to be provided according to a searcher's selection. The advertiser may include an operator of a web site based on an MP such as a SOHO or a large shopping mall or an individual seller registering the product in the MP-based web site.
[53] A process of registering the product may include a process of selecting an advertisement channel being an advertisement area with respect to each product, registering an account of the advertiser, and inputting a keyword and a bidding price with respect to the registered product.
[54] When the advertiser completes product registration and an input of the target page link and the like, advertisement waiting is maintained. In operation S320, when the searcher requests a search, the search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention determines whether the advertisement object of the advertiser corresponds to an exposure condition.
[55] In operation S330, when the searcher requests the search, the search advertisement system exposes advertisement information of the advertiser to a search advertisement area when the advertisement object corresponds to the keyword inputted by the searcher and the predetermined exposure condition.
[56] FIG. 4 illustrates a search advertisement area providing an advertisement information list based on a search request of a searcher according to an embodiment of the invention. As illustrated in FIG. 4, advertisement information corresponding to an exposure condition is configured into a list, and the advertisement information list is exposed to the search advertisement area.
[57] When the searcher selects the advertisement information of the corresponding advertiser in the search advertisement area in operation S340, the advertiser follows a direct link to a target page of the product registered by the advertiser in operation S350.
[58] In an embodiment of the invention, the target page with respect to the product includes the detailed information about the product registered by the advertiser and includes a purchase web page function enabling the searcher to purchase the corresponding product. The target page is accessed from the web site of the advertiser or the web site in which the product is registered, that is, an outlink, and is provided.
[59] FIG. 5 illustrates a product target page being provided when a searcher selects advertisement information according to an embodiment of the invention. As illustrated in FIG. 5, a target page of a product corresponding to the advertisement information selected by the searcher is provided with a web page of a purchase type for enabling detailed information about the corresponding product to be verified and enabling the product to be purchased.
[60] The search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention may process charging of an advertiser for the corresponding product when a target page link is followed during the above-described process.
[61] Accordingly, an embodiment of the invention directly provides the target page link of the product desired by the advertiser other than a site advertisement in an advertisement area with respect to selection of the searcher. An embodiment of the invention may provide a direct link to a product purchase page registered in an MP or a specific page of a SOHO in a search advertisement area according to an embodiment of the invention.

[63] When a searcher selects specific advertisement information in an advertisement information list of an advertiser, an embodiment of the invention provides a link to a target page of a product being an advertisement object of the advertiser after passing through a compulsory landing page link, the landing page link providing detailed information about a product in a search advertisement area.
[64] FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating another configuration of a search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention.
[65] The search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention denotes the search engine 110. As illustrated in FIG. 6, the search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention includes an interface unit 610, an advertisement management system 620, an advertisement information database 630, a search list generating system 640, and a shopping intermediary system 650.
[66] The interface unit 610 receives information about product registration from a plurality of advertisers, that is, detailed information about a product, a target page link with respect to each product, an account and a bidding price of an advertiser, an advertisement channel of a search advertisement area, and the like.
[67] The advertiser may include an operator of a web site based on an MP such as a
SOHO or a large shopping mall, an individual seller registering the product in the MP- based web site as a seller of an individual level (an individual seller without site), and the like.
[68] The advertisement information database 630 maintains a plurality of advertisement information corresponding to a keyword. The advertisement information database 630 receives the advertisement information from the advertiser, searches for the advertisement information when a search is requested afterwards, and stores the keyword being a cause of the advertisement information being provided for the searcher, the keyword corresponding to the advertisement information.
[69] In particular, the advertisement information database 630 stores the detailed information of the product being the advertisement object registered by the advertiser, the target page link, and the like, which correspond to each advertiser.
[70] An embodiment of the invention may register the detailed information about the product being the advertisement object in the shopping intermediary system 650. The shopping intermediary system 650 includes a knowledge information server for systematically managing the detailed information about each product, and provides a landing page link providing the detailed information about the product.
[71] The search list generating system 640 extracts the advertisement information corresponding to the keyword from the advertisement information database 630, and selects a predetermined number of pieces of advertisement information from among the extracted advertisement information based on a predetermined exposure condition. The search list generating system 640 classifies the advertisement information by an advertisement channel, the advertisement information corresponding to the specific keyword and being retrieved from the advertisement information database 630.
[72] The search list generating system 640 generates an advertisement information list corresponding to the keyword of the searcher and the exposure condition.
[73] The advertisement management system 620 exposes the advertisement information list generated by the search list generating system 640 to the predetermined search advertisement area, and first provides a landing page providing the detailed information about the product registered by the corresponding advertiser using an interface with the shopping intermediary system 650 when the searcher selects the specific advertisement information in the advertisement information list. When the searcher subsequently selects a predetermined page movement command in the landing page, the advertisement management system 620 follows the target page link of the retrieved product after searching for the product from the advertisement information database 630, the product being registered by the corresponding advertiser.
[74] Therefore, the search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention provides the target page link of the product being the advertisement object after passing through the compulsory landing page through the shopping intermediary system 650, the landing page providing the detailed information about the product.
[75] A method of providing a search advertisement according to an embodiment of the invention using the above-described configuration is described in detail.
[76] FIG. 7 is a flowchart illustrating an entire process of a method of providing a search advertisement according to an embodiment of the invention based on the configuration of the system of FIG. 6, and FIGS. 8 through FIG. 10 are illustrated to describe an advertisement execution process based on a method of providing a search advertisement according to an embodiment of the invention.
[77] In operation S710, an advertiser registers a product of an advertisement object and inputs a target page link of each product to be provided according to a searcher's selection. The advertiser may include an operator of a web site based on an MP such as a SOHO or a large shopping mall or an individual seller registering the product in the MP-based web site.
[78] A process of registering the product may include a process of selecting an advertisement channel being an advertisement area with respect to each product, registering an account of the advertiser, and inputting a keyword and a bidding price with respect to the registered product.
[79] In operation S720, the product of the advertisement object and the detailed information about each product are registered in a shopping intermediary server, that is, the shopping intermediary system 650.
[80] When the advertiser completes product registration and an input of the target page link and the like, advertisement waiting is maintained. In operation S730, when the searcher requests a search, the search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention determines whether the advertisement object of the advertiser corresponds to an exposure condition.
[81] In operation S740, when the searcher requests the search, the search advertisement system exposes advertisement information of the advertiser to a search advertisement area when the advertisement object corresponds to the keyword inputted by the searcher and the predetermined exposure condition.
[82] FIG. 8 illustrates another search advertisement area providing an advertisement information list based on a search request of a searcher according to an embodiment of the invention. As illustrated in FIG. 8, advertisement information corresponding to an exposure condition is configured into a list, and the advertisement information list is exposed to the search advertisement area.
[83] When the searcher selects the advertisement information of the corresponding advertiser in the search advertisement area in operation S750, the advertiser first follows a link to a landing page providing the detailed information about the product registered by the advertiser in operation S760. [84] FIG. 9 illustrates a landing page providing detailed information about a product being an advertisement object when a searcher selects advertisement information according to an embodiment of the invention. As illustrated in FIG. 9, a link to a detailed product page providing the detailed information about the corresponding product in a search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention that is, an inlink, is provided.
[85] When the searcher inputs a predetermined page movement command in operation
S770 after verifying the detailed information about the product using the landing page, the advertiser follows a direct link to a target page of the product registered by the advertiser in operation S780.
[86] In an embodiment of the invention, the target page with respect to the product includes a purchase web page function of enabling the searcher to purchase the corresponding product registered by the advertiser. The target page is accessed from the web site of the advertiser or the web site in which the product is registered, that is, an outlink, and is provided.
[87] FIG. 10 illustrates another product target page being provided when a searcher selects advertisement information according to an embodiment of the invention. As illustrated in FIG. 10, a target page of a product corresponding to the advertisement information selected by the searcher is provided with a web page of a purchase type of enabling detailed information about the corresponding product to be verified and enabling the product to be purchased.
[88] The search advertisement system according to an embodiment of the invention may process charging of an advertiser for the corresponding product when a landing page link or a target page link is followed during the above-described process.
[89] Accordingly, an embodiment of the invention provides the target page link of the product desired by the advertiser other than a site advertisement in an advertisement area with respect to selection of the searcher, and provides an outlink to a product purchase page registered in an MP or a specific page of a SOHO after passing through a detailed page (the landing page) providing the detailed information about the product in a search advertisement area.
[90] The method of providing the search advertisement according to the embodiments of the invention may be recorded in computer-readable media including program instructions to implement various operations embodied by a computer. The media may also include, alone or in combination with the program instructions, data files, data structures, tables, and the like. The media and program instructions may be those specially designed and constructed for the purposes of the present invention, or they may be of the kind well known and available to those having skill in the computer software arts. Examples of computer-readable media include magnetic media such as hard disks, floppy disks, and magnetic tape; optical media such as CD ROM disks; magneto-optical media such as optical disks; and hardware devices that are specially configured to store and perform program instructions, such as read-only memory devices (ROM) and random access memory (RAM). Examples of program instructions include both machine code, such as produced by a compiler, and files containing higher level code that may be executed by the computer using an interpreter. The described hardware devices may be configured to act as one or more software modules in order to perform the operations of the above-described exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
[91] According to an embodiment of the invention, it is possible to provide, to a product advertiser other than a site advertiser, an advertiser for whom a search advertisement may be executed, thereby fulfilling a marketing need of individual sellers and increasing both supply and demand of a Search Engine Marketer (SEM). Specifically, it is possible to provide a large amount of traffic to individual sellers for direct advertisements and marketing opportunities.
[92] Accordingly, an embodiment of the invention may increase a pay-per-click (PPC) using competition between an advertiser targeting a web site as an advertisement object and a seller targeting a product as the advertisement object, and may provide a keyword coverage.
[93] Also, according to an embodiment of the invention, it is possible to provide a target page link desired by a seller of a product as a search advertisement object, thereby providing a new advertisement route to enable traffic of a search advertisement to contain product information of an advertiser or a seller.
[94] Also, according to an embodiment of the invention, it is possible to provide a target page link of a corresponding product based on clicks of a user after providing a compulsory landing page, the landing page providing information about the product, thereby guaranteeing reliability of Title & Description (T & D) of the product.
[95] Although a few exemplary embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, the present invention is not limited to the described exemplary embodiments. Instead, it would be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made to these exemplary embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined by the claims and their equivalents.

Claims

Claims
[1] A method of providing a search advertisement, the method comprising the steps of: registering a product of an advertiser and a target page link of each product; maintaining detailed information about the product of the advertiser and the target page link of each product in a database; and providing the target page link of the registered product for a predetermined search advertisement area.
[2] The method of Claim 1, wherein the advertiser includes an operator of a market place (MP)-based web site or an individual seller registering the product in the
MP-based web site.
[3] The method of Claim 1, wherein the step of registering further comprises the steps of: selecting an advertisement channel in the search advertisement area with respect to each product; and registering an account of the advertiser and inputting a keyword and a bidding price with respect to each product.
[4] The method of Claim 1, wherein the step of providing comprises the steps of: generating an advertisement information list corresponding to a keyword of a searcher and a predetermined exposure condition; exposing the generated advertisement information list to the search advertisement area; and following a direct link to a target page of the product corresponding to selected advertisement information when the searcher selects the specific advertisement information in the search advertisement area.
[5] The method of Claim 4, wherein the target page of the product is a purchase web page enabling the searcher to purchase the corresponding product using an outlink.
[6] The method of Claim 1, further comprising the step of: processing charging of the advertiser for the corresponding product based on the target page link.
[7] A search advertisement system comprising: an advertisement information database configured to maintain detailed information about a product registered by an advertiser and a target page link of each product; a search list generating system configured to generate an advertisement information list of the advertiser corresponding to a keyword of a searcher and a predetermined exposure condition; and an advertisement management system configured to provide the generated advertisement information list for a predetermined search advertisement area, and to follow a target page link of the corresponding product according to the searcher's selection.
[8] A method of providing a search advertisement, the method comprising the steps of: registering a product of an advertiser, detailed information about each product, and a target page link of each product; maintaining the detailed information about each product of the advertiser and the target page link of each product in a database; and providing the target page link after providing a landing page link to provide the detailed information about the registered product for a predetermined search advertisement area.
[9] The method of Claim 8, wherein the advertiser includes an operator of an MP- based web site or an individual seller registering the product in the MP-based web site.
[10] The method of Claim 8, wherein the step of registering further comprises the steps of: selecting an advertisement channel in the search advertisement area with respect to each product; and registering an account of the advertiser and inputting a keyword and a bidding price with respect to each product.
[11] The method of Claim 8, wherein the step of providing comprises the steps of: generating an advertisement information list corresponding to a keyword of a searcher and a predetermined exposure condition; exposing the generated advertisement information list to the search advertisement area; providing a landing page to provide the detailed information about the corresponding product when the searcher selects specific advertisement information in the search advertisement area; and following a link to a target page of the corresponding product when the searcher inputs a page movement command in the landing page.
[12] The method of Claim 11, wherein the landing page is an information web page providing the detailed information about the corresponding product using an inlink, and the target page of the product is a purchase web page enabling the searcher to purchase the corresponding product using an outlink.
[13] The method of Claim 8, further comprising the step of: processing charging of the advertiser for the corresponding product based on the landing page link or the target page link.
[14] A search advertisement system comprising: an advertisement information database configured to maintain detailed information about each product registered by an advertiser and a target page link of each product; a search list generating system configured to generate an advertisement information list of the advertiser corresponding to a keyword of a searcher and a predetermined exposure condition; a shopping intermediary system configured to provide a landing page providing the detailed information about each registered product; and an advertisement management system configured to provide the generated advertisement information list for a predetermined search advertisement area, and to follow a link to a target page of the corresponding product after providing a link to the landing page using an interface with the shopping intermediary system according to the searcher's selection.
[15] A computer-readable recording medium storing a program for implementing the method according to claim 1.
