Abstract

A thermoelectric conversion module is provided with an insulating layer (12), and an n-type thermoelectric conversion material layer (14) and a p-type thermoelectric conversion material layer (13), which are formed on a surface of the insulating layer (12), extending along a temperature difference direction (90) and electrically connected to each other in series. The cross-section area of the layer having a higher resistivity of the two layers, which are the n-type thermoelectric conversion material layer (14) and the p-type thermoelectric conversion material layer (13), is permitted to be larger than that of the layer having a lower resistivity so that the resistance of the thermoelectric conversion module as a whole is small when compared with a constitution wherein the cross-section areas of the n-type thermoelectric conversion material layer and the p-type thermoelectric conversion material layer which are cut by a surface vertical to the temperature difference direction are the same.
