Abstract

In the case of packing a glass plate stacked body while holding it on a pallet by means of a plurality of retaining bars arranged in parallel across the glass plate stacked body in the width direction, the pressing force acting on the glass plate stacked body by the retaining bars is rationalized, thus restraining collapse of cargo of the glass plate stacked body. A plurality of glass plates are stacked in vertical posture on a pallet (2) having a pedestal portion (2a) and a backrest portion (2b), two retaining bars (4, 5) are arranged in parallel at an interval in the vertical direction across the glass plate stacked body G in the width direction, and the glass plate stacked body G is held on the pallet (2) by fastening the opposite ends of the retaining bars (4, 5) to the side of the backrest portion (2b) by means of fastening members (7, 8). In the glass plate stacked body packing body (1), a pressing force acting on the glass plate stacked body G by the lower retaining bar (5) is set stronger than a pressing force acting on the glass plate stacked body G by the upper retaining bar (4).
