Abstract
In a power tool including at least one planetary gear mechanisms interposed between a motor and an output shaft, the planetary gear mechanism includes a sun gear and a ring gear for transmitting rotation from the motor to the output shaft. An inner and an outer planetary gear are interposed in engaged state between the sun gear and the ring gear. A carrier holds the inner planetary gear and the outer planetary gear so as to rotate freely. A switching mechanism has a switching member installed so as to be slidable in an axial direction. By the movement of the switching member, the switching mechanism switches between a reduction state in which rotation is transmitted from the sun gear to the ring gear via the inner planetary gear and the outer planetary gear, and a non-reduction state in which the sun gear and the ring gear rotate as one body.
