Abstract

The present invention relates to a stationary household appliance, comprising at least one anti-tip device for transmitting tilting forces to a stationary force application point. The invention is characterized in that the anti-tip device is fixed with a first fastening section (33) to the stationary force application point and a second fastening section (34) of the anti-tip device forms a latching connection with a section of the stationary household appliance for transmitting tilting forces to the stationary force application point.

Description

Household appliance with a tilt protection device

The present invention relates to a household appliance with a tilt protection device according to the preamble of claim 1.

Household appliances are household appliances that are not moved by the operator during operation, but are operated in the state. This includes all large appliances and cabinet-like appliances, such as refrigerators and freezers, stoves, water-bearing appliances, such as washing machines, dishwashers, dryers and the like. Many household appliances have a door or flap to open an interior. Especially such devices are tipping over, which are subject to the opening of the door or flap due to the weight of a shift of emphasis. In particular, this concerns dishwashers, but also refrigerators and cookers.

The need for securing such household appliances, such as washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and refrigerators and the like against tipping over has long been known in the art.

So far, this problem has been solved by providing the household appliance with additional weights. However, this is not only more expensive, but it also makes it difficult to set up the devices. In addition, the extra weight also increases transport costs.

There have been proposed many different ways of attaching household appliances on the wall or floor.

US 4,699,695 discloses a fastening device comprising two angles that are bolted directly to the wall. The housing of the device can be screwed directly to the brackets. DE 21 12 465 C2 discloses a household appliance, which has a base, which is connected by frame struts with the device body. For attachment, this base can be inserted into a cross-sectionally U-shaped fitting. The fitting is mounted on the wall. However, these fastening devices have disadvantages. In solutions where the household appliance is attached directly to the wall or the floor, the assembly is often problematic because the household appliances in question often have to be installed accurately in fitted kitchens or wall niches and just those areas where tools would need to be attached, often poorly accessible after the device has been pushed to its final place

DE 88 15 528 U1 describes a pull rod, which extends through the entire depth of the device and which is bent at the end facing the wall and there serves as a tie rod. The tie rod is inserted into a hole (eyelet) in a wall fitting and held so. At the other end, the pull rod is fixed by a clamping screw. The device is first set up at a distance from the wall, then the tie rod hooked and then moved the device to the wall.

EP 1 266 593 B1 discloses a similar fastening device as DE 88 15 528 U1, namely a displaceable pull rod with an angled end, which can hold the device in position.

EP 1 172 061 A1 describes a fastening device which comprises a rod which is mounted on the wall and which can be inserted into a corresponding recess in the device. In the recess there is a kind of rib, which in turn can be inserted into a gap of the finger. Inside the finger is a spring which exerts pressure on the rib so that it can be pushed out of the gap. At the same time the power supply is interrupted by the interruption of the contact of the finger with the device. For this type of attachment, however, a very accurate work and measurement of the wall-mounted parts is required, which requires a lot of work and time.

So far, there were in the art for attaching household appliances on the wall or on the floor only solutions that a firm connection between the Household appliance and a prop provided. This has the previously mentioned disadvantages that a relatively high installation cost is required and therefore that the removal of the household appliance from the support also requires a certain effort.

There is therefore still a need for devices for securing household appliances against tipping and other movements. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a household appliance with an improved anti-tipper device.

The solution according to the invention is characterized in that the anti-tilt device is fastened with a first attachment portion to the fixed force introduction point and a second attachment portion of the anti-tip device forms a latching connection with a portion of the household appliance for transmitting tilting forces to the fixed force application point. It has surprisingly been found that the use of a releasable locking connection a very good protection against tipping represents and the assembly cost is very low. Apart from a safeguard against tipping over, the anti-tipper device also provides protection against tipping, movements due to vibrations (eg in washing machines).

It is preferably provided that the section of the household appliance is a section of a worktop of the household appliance. The anti-tilt device may be formed of a plurality of components that are assembled during the manufacturing process. In a preferred embodiment it is provided that the anti-tilt device is formed in one piece. It is preferably provided that the anti-tip device is made of metal or plastic. This allows a particularly simple production by means of folding a sheet metal blank or a production by means of plastic injection techniques such as injection molding.

In order to facilitate assembly, an insertion aid is preferably provided so that the location where the anti-tip device is to be mounted on the support, i. on the wall or the ceiling or the floor etc., does not have to be measured exactly.

For this purpose, it is preferably provided that the insertion aid has at least one insertion bevel. In this case, during insertion, that is the leading of the household appliance to the support, the insertion be in contact with the portion of the worktop, which has a latching surface.

For attachment to a stationary support, the anti-tilt device has a fastening device for attachment to the immovable support. In this case, the fastening device may have holes through which fasteners such as screws or nails reach through. Further, the holes may be formed such that a readjustment after attachment to the immovable support is possible. For this purpose, the two holes may be formed as offset perpendicular to each other arranged slots.

Furthermore, the invention includes a tilt protection device according to the invention for fastening a household appliance to a stationary support.

The locking connection can be achieved by pressing down the insertion bevel 20 or the retaining edge 28 by hand or by a tool.
