Abstract

A transdermal bisoprolol delivery system to an individual in need thereof. The system includes a backing layer, a reservoir disposed proximally relative to the backing layer, and a body-contacting adhesive disposed proximally to the skin relative to the reservoir. The reservoir has an adhesive of poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) containing bisoprolol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The body-contacting adhesive is non-EVA and disposed proximally relative to the reservoir. The system is effective for one-day to multiple-day delivery.
