Abstract

A plasma display panel has a first substrate and a second substrate which face each other. The first substrate has first and second bus electrodes (Xb, Yb), a dielectric layer (DL1), and an address electrode (AE), while the second substrate has first and second bulkheads (BR1, BR2). The first and second bus electrodes (Xb, Yb) extend in a first direction (D1) to be arranged with a certain interval on the first substrate, and the address electrode (AE) extends in a second direction (D2) intersecting with the first direction (D1) to be arranged on the dielectric layer (DL1) covering the first and second bus electrodes (Xb, Yb). The first bulkhead (BR1) extends in the second direction (D2) to be arranged at a position close to the address electrode (AE) on the second substrate. Further, the second bulkhead (BR2) extends in the first direction (D1) to be arranged on the second substrate while facing the second bus electrode (Yb). As a result, an area for applying a fluorescent material can be increased while preventing false discharging.
