Abstract
Disclosed are a rare earth complex having a high luminous efficiency and a luminescent material using such a rare earth complex. Specifically disclosed is a rare earth complex represented by the following formula (I). (I) (In the formula, Ln represents a rare earth atom; R1 and R2 independently represent an alkyl, a perfluoroalkyl, an optionally substituted aryl or an optionally substituted heteroaryl; R3 represents a halogen atom, an alkyl, an alkoxy, an alkylthio, a cyano, a nitro or an alkoxycarbonyl; Ar represents an optionally substituted aryl or an optionally substituted heteroaryl; m represents 1 or 2; and n represents 0, 1 or 2.) Also specifically disclosed is a luminescent material composed of such a rare earth complex.
