Abstract
The single ply construction chipboard made of homogeneous ply of wood chips mixed with special melamme-urea-formaldehyde glue with high melamine content; usable in humid conditions without changing its shape and quality.
Description
SINGLE - LAYRER PARTICLE CONSTRUCTION BOARD
Technical field
The invention relates to the construction wood-based chipboard. Present technical status
At present well-known construction wood-based chipboards are produced as the three ply ones, with external plies of boards made of fine wood chips and the middle ply of board made of coarser fractions of wood chips. These boards are suitable for humid conditions typical for the building constructions. Main disadvantages:
- inhomogeneous structure and therefore lower rigidity distributed irregularly on the surface of the whole board lower quality of workability more difficult handling ( these boards are produced in thickness of more than 1 Omm ) high technological and energy demands for the production and therefore higher price
Subject-matter of the invention
The single ply board eliminates the above mentioned drawbacks. The board structure is made of wood chips with thickness of 1 to 3.5mm, specially selected for this purpose. Wooden semi-finished goods designed for the production of wood chips must contain the minimum of bark.
The wood chips are subsequently mixed with melamine-urea-formaldehyde glue with high melamine content, in the following ratio: 13 -17% of dry matter of glue per 100% of dry matter of wood chips. The created homogeneous mixture of chips and glue is layered onto the moulding belt of press, then it is pressed to the necessary thickness and after glue hardening the board is produced, which is usable also in humid conditions without change of shape and quality properties. Based on the fact that the board structure is the homogeneous one, the quality of workability is higher in comparison with the boards well-known at present. As it is produced mainly with thickness of less than 10mm, the handling of board becomes easier. Moreover, this board is of higher fire resistance rating, but the biggest advantage is its simpler and faster production and therefore also lower energy demands per one production unit.
Examples of the invention implementation
Example No. 1
The construction board made of wood chips with thickness of 1 - 3.5 mm produced from wooden semi-finished goods with low content of bark and mixed with melamine-urea- formaldehyde glue with high content of melamine in ratio 13 - 17 % of dry matter of glue per 100% of dry matter of wood chips. The next steps of manufacturing process are layering this homogeneous ply onto the moulding belt of press, pressing to the required thickness and . hardening of glue. The board is usable in humid conditions without changing its shape and quality and it is of higher fire resistance rating.
Example No. 2
The construction board is produced as per Example No. 1, but the colour suitable for colour finish of wood is added into the mixture of wood chips and glue and therefore wider colour variability and better decorative properties of the board are achieved.
Industrial usability
The single ply construction chipboards can be used as load-bearing constructional elements for interior use in humid conditions, baseboards for flooring systems, roof covers, shuttering elements, in the production of packages, pallets, containers; and also as combined wall structures, temporary fencings of constructions, and for decorative usage in interiors.
Claims
1. The single ply construction wood-based chipboard of which its structure consisting of one homogeneous ply of wood chips with thickness of 1 - 3.5mm is the characteristic feature.
2. The chipboard as per article 1 of which the characteristic feature is that wood chips are mixed with melamine-urea-formaldehyde glue with high content of melamine in ratio 13 - 17% of dry matter of glue per 100% of dry matter of wood chips.
3. The single ply construction wood-based chipboard of which its usability in humid conditions without any change regarding its shape and quality is the characteristic feature.
4. The single ply construction wood-based chipboard of which the characteristic feature is its higher fire resistance.
