Abstract

The present invention relates to a measuring device (10) and a method for determining the distance by which a storage and/or transport device (200), particularly at least one tank of at least one, for example rail-based, tank or bulk freight car, lowers upon loading the same with fluid freight, particularly with gasoline fuel and/or diesel fuel, by means of at least one downpipe (40), particularly connected to at least one jointed scissor device (20, 22). This allows proper regulation or control of the force or pressure applied by the downpipe (40), particularly the dome cone associated with the downpipe (40), to the storage and/or transport device (200), particularly to the dome of the storage and/or transport device (200).
