Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft zum Erkennen eines Objekts einer vorgegebenen Objektkategorie in einem Bild. Bei dem Verfahren ist es vorgesehen, dass wenigstens zwei Detektoren vorgesehen sind, die jeweils zur Erkennung eines Objekts der vorgegebenen Objektkategorie mit einer vorgegebenen Objektgröße eingerichtet sind, wobei sich Objektgrößen für die Detektoren unterscheiden, das Bild mittels der Detektoren ausgewertet wird, um zu prüfen, ob sich ein Objekt der vorgegebenen Objektkategorie in dem Bild befindet, ein Objekt der vorgegebenen Objektkategorie in dem Bild erkannt wird, wenn anhand der Auswertung des Bildes mittels wenigstens eines der Detektoren festgestellt wird, dass sich ein Objekt der vorgegebenen Objektkategorie in dem Bild befindet. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung ein zur Durchführung des Verfahrens geeignetes Systems zum Erkennen eines Objekts einer vorgegebenen Objektkategorie in einem Bild.
