Abstract

The invention relates to an antenna array comprising an antenna (1) and a switching element (2), one terminal (2a) of which is electrically connected to a first coupling point (7) on the antenna (1) and the other terminal (2b) of which is electrically connected to a first impedance (3). The position of the first coupling point (7) on the antenna (1) as well as the type and magnitude of the first impedance (3) are selected such that the directivity of the antenna array (10) in a first switched state of the switching element (2) is rotated by an angle of more than zero degrees relative to the directivity of the antenna array (10) in a second switched state of the switching element (2), and/or the polarization characteristics (21) of the antenna array (10, 30, 40) in a first switched state of the switching element (2, 38a) are rotated by an angle of more than zero degrees relative to the polarization characteristics of the antenna array (10, 30, 40) in a second switched state of the switching element (2, 38a).
