Abstract

　音声符号化において、代数的符号帳に対して分割探索を行いつつ、符号化性能を向上することができる音声符号化装置。ＣＥＬＰ符号化装置の歪み最小化部（１１２）において、最大相関値算出部（２２１）は、固定符号帳を構成する４本のパルスに対して、各候補位置における各パルスとターゲット信号とを用いて相関値を算出し、パルス毎に相関値の最大値を求め、この相関値の最大値を用いた最大相関値を算出し、ソーティング部（２２２）は、４本のパルスを２本ずつ２つのサブセットに分割し、探索部（２２４）は、固定符号帳に対し分割探索を行い、符号化歪みが最小となる４本のパルスの位置および極性を示す符号を得る。
